We would like to thank Phil Bryars Jr. and Nafeco for providing lunch to the winners of the Clean Hose Load Competition. All three shifts of Station 23 came together and made it happen. Even with a couple of fires in between. Thank you Shotgun BBQ Restaurant and grill for fixing them some fine BBQ.

Winners of the Cleanest Hose Load Competition

Congratulations to Engine 23 A, B, and C shift.

They worked together as a Station, posted action pictures and had some clean hose loads.

-Take pride in what you do and let it show.

- Doesn't matter your rank, set a good example for new Firefighters. Thier actions will reflect that.

Change in rules....

-You have till Monday at midnight.
-If only one shift or two of the shifts unload and reload hoses. The crews involved are eligible for the prizes. Post pictures of the crews loading.

The Competition- Who has the cleanest Hose Loads……..

Keep operational readiness in mind when working on hose loads.

(This Competition is sponsored by Phil Bryars with NAFECO and Mobile Firefighters Association Local 1349)

This is a Station Competition. (All Shifts must participate)

Judging will be based on how clean the load is (example pictures below). Not the condition of the fire hose or what kind of Apparatus you are in. You should take pride in the equipment you are working with. No matter the age or condition of your equipment.

Ends: January 23, 2026 @1200

Rules:
-All three shifts must participate. (example; 1st shift does side pre-connects, 2nd shift supply, 3rd rear pre-connects.

-Multi Company houses must include Engine(s) and Truck in the same post. They will be considered one entry. Try to include Rescue crew if possible.

-Pictures shall be posted in the comments section of this post. First picture should be of the Apparatus(s). All others shall be in the reply section of your first comment.

-Pictures in the reply section need to include the final pictures of both sides and of the rear (no personal). There also need to be pictures of each shift loading hose.

-If all shifts are not involved, that Station is disqualified.

-If you mess with someone else’s hose load, that Station will be disqualified.

Judging will be performed by 3 Retired Mobile Fire Rescue Department Personnel. 2 Captains and 1 Chief. (In the case of a Judge being unavailable or unable to decide, a decision of the final 3 will be made by the Local 1349 Trustees)
