🐦 Millions of birds are on the move over Texas!

Last night alone, BirdCast estimated that more than 7.2 million birds crossed Texas as they continued their fall migration. And right now, we’re in the heart of peak migration season.

You can help make their journey safer with one simple action: turn off non-essential indoor and outdoor lights from 11 p.m.–6 a.m. each night through Oct. 29.

Reducing nighttime light helps protect migrating birds as they travel through Texas — one of the most important migration pathways in the country.

💡 Lights out. Safe flight.

Zero Waste Week is a great reminder that waste doesn’t just disappear. 🌍

What we throw away can end up in landfills, streets, waterways, and the communities we share, but the choices we make every day can help change that.

Choose reusables. Repair or repurpose what you can. Recycle right. Skip what you don’t need.

This Zero Waste Week, take one step toward creating less waste and a cleaner, greener, more beautiful community.
