Our last Blood Drive of 2026 is on the books. Thank you to the Red Cross folks who worked the drive, our ASCC volunteered their time, and the wonderful donors! 27 units were donated today! Our next drive is Jan 6, 2027. See you all then!

Are you 65+ and on Medicare? Are you about to turn 65 and have questions? Do you just have questions about Medicare coverage? Then this is for you! Arrowhead Senior Center, with Good Harbor Retirement Solutions, is hosting 3 more FREE Medicare Review days -- Thursday Oct 29, Wednesday Nov 4, and Thursday Nov 5. Sessions start at 9am with the last one of the day beginning at 4pm. We have openings all 3 days and all are held at Arrowhead Senior Center, 46 Middle Road in Milton. Please call 802-893-7964 to schedule an appointment.you do not need to be a member of ASCC or a resident of Milton.

1 week until our next Blood Drive! Donors will receive a coupon for a FREE pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. All are invited to wear costumes to help us celebrate Halloween. Appointments are encouraged, walk-ins will be taken when there is availability. You can call 802-893-7964 to see if there is availability. This is ASCC's last Blood Drive for 2026 so come join us for some delicious homemade goodies and help save a life! We will be back Jan 6, 2027!

Some awesome news!!

Age -well information…..

October 1st marked the start of a new fiscal year for Age Well. This means that everyone attending community meals and/or participating in the Restaurant Ticket Program needs to fill out a new registration form. These forms are necessary to ensure continued funding of the programs. FY27 registration forms are available at the Age Well office, on our website https://www.agewellvt.org/services/food-meal-delivery/community-meals/, and from me at lunches.

New Restaurant Tickets are available! We are happy to announce that Black Flannel Brewing Co. in Essex, has joined the list of participating restaurants. They will accept tickets Monday - Friday from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, and Saturday & Sunday from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm. See the attached document for the available menu choices.

Community lunches at North Ave Alliance Church will resume in November, with turkey on the menu! Join us on Thursday, November 12 for lunch, door prizes, and a 50/50 raffle. Please call or email me to reserve your seat by Monday, Nov. 9. I am often out of the office at a meal site - it's fine to leave a message and I'll put you on the list.

I've also attached the November calendar of community meals, with contact/reservation info on page 2. There are several sites serving turkey next month, indicated by an asterisk*. Join us for one or more and bring a friend 🙂 Please remember to reserve a seat at least 4 days in advance so that we order the correct number of meals. Thank you!

Tickets for our annual raffle are on sale now! At this point we have 143 fabulous prizes! Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Help make this our most successful raffle yet! You can purchase tickets by seeing a member of ASCC or by calling 802-893-7964 to arrange a time to.stop by. All voicemails are answered.
