Prepare for some major heat, Vermont! ☀️🔥

Did you know heat illness is more common in June than later in the summer? That's because our bodies aren't used to hot weather just yet. Know the signs so you can avoid a heat emergency and check in on your neighbors and loved ones.

Find more heat safety tips and a map of cooling sites at HealthVermont.gov/HotWeather.

The Arrowhead Senior Citizen Center Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to thank the Vermont Community Foundation for their assistance and support in our time of need. As most of you are aware, our heating system unexpectedly failed. We were left with no heat or hot water. The Center was closed for five days, activities cancelled and our budget took a big hit. Arrangements were made with Vermont Gas Systems to schedule installation of a new system.

It is with much gratitude that we thank the Vermont Community Foundation for their support. ASCC applied for and received a $5000 grant through their Special and Urgent Needs Program of the Vermont Community Foundation which will go toward replacement costs.

With thanks and appreciation,
The Board of Directors
