Helping Hearts Equine Rescue, Inc. HHER is a 501(c)3 NJ rescue that takes in Senior and high risk equines in the NJ area.

Mission Statement:

"Helping Hearts Equine Rescue is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit animal welfare organization incorporated in the State of New Jersey. We are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of equines in need; assisting equines in situations of neglect, abuse or threat of slaughter located in, but not necessarily limited to Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean Counties - in our home state o

f New Jersey. To educate the public regarding the standards of care required to maintain an equine as a riding partner and/or companion animal in a humane manner."

Michele saw my horrible body clipping attempt and took over. 😝
Jett, being Cushingoid, grows a coat like a thick s**g rug.
In the warming weather he’s been panting and overheating.
Michele did a fantastic job and our little man will be Much cooler now.
As an aside, he’s having a laminitis flare-up and we’ve put him on Equioxx again until it subsides.
Isn’t he huggable?? 🥰🥰

“Amazon UK is being urged to ban the sale of eijao products as more than six million donkeys are slaughtered every year to produce them.

While Amazon does not directly sell products containing eijao, welfare charity Brooke has found that these products are available from third-party sellers on the site. Eijao is made from donkey hides and used in cosmetics and food in China as a “youth serum” 🙄

The petition calls for Amazon to “consider the devastating effects the trade is having on animals and people globally” and ban the products immediately.”
