The winners of the 2025 Christmas in the Village parade received a $100 check from Karen Nelson, Vice President of the Millington Chamber of Commerce. The winners were Kern's Excavating for "Best Lighted", Millington Community Schools PTO for "Best Christmas Around the World Theme", and the Red Neck Robotics Team for "Best Overall Float". Congratulations to all the winners! See you next year!

Congratulations to the 2025 Christmas in the Village Float winners! Kern's Excavating & Trucking for Best Lighted, Millington Community Schools PTO for Best Christmas Around the World Theme (the Kids are in front of the float which was a huge globe representing Christmas around the world with the additional theme of Kindness around the World) and the Red Neck Robotics Team won Best Overall Float! Congratulations to the Winners. They will be receiving a $100 cash prize each. Thank you to the Parade Judges and all the parade entries!

It's almost here! Bundle up the family and join in the fun activities including the lighted Christmas Parade at the 35th Annual Christmas in the Village! This year, there will be propane heaters placed around the village, plus many businesses will be open and available for people to stop in and warm up! Thank you to Suttle Company, Inc. for donating 6 heaters and to J & C Outdoors for donating the propane.

The 2025 parade route will be the same as last year. Please see the below map. To enhance safety, the parade line up will be behind Meachum Elementary school (green arrows). This is the same line up location as the Summer Festival parade.

Parade participants should not arrive until AFTER 5 PM. They will check in on Gleason St at the entrance to the parking lot (green check mark) to receive their parade position.

The parade will begin at 6PM and proceed (yellow arrows) west on Main St (Millington Rd) to the traffic light at M-15. The parade will turn left onto M-15 and proceed to Center St. The parade will make another LEFT onto Center St and proceed to Depot St. This is where the parade will end (red dot).

Once reaching the parade's end, participants may choose to continue on Center St and either return to the school (to access Millington Rd) or turn right onto Depot St and exit to M-15 via Bishop St.

Only parade units with elementary students may turn left onto Depot St to release children near the Millington Arbela District Library. This way, children are not waiting until the parade is over, in the dark, for parents to pick them up at the school. Parents can easily walk to the library area to gather their children in a safe location. Depot St will be closed to all vehicle traffic during the parade until the last unit has passed the intersection.

We hope these changes will enhance the safety during parade line up and remove the congestion on Center St during that time.

Parents are reminded to keep children safe during the parade and not allow them to enter the street or approach any of the parade units to retrieve candy or other handouts.

Throwing items & candy from vehicles is strongly discouraged. Parade participants are urged to hand out or throw items while walking on foot near their parade unit to discourage any children from entering the street.

The 35th Annual Christmas in the Village - Christmas Around the World - will be held on Monday, December 1st, from 3:30pm to 8:00pm. Make plans to attend this family-friendly, mostly free event sponsored by the Millington Chamber of Commerce. Local Businesses and Service Organizations are hosting free activities and many have donated food, sponsored tree ornaments, provided volunteers and much more to make this a fun community event! The Lighted Parade will begin at 6:00pm.

There is still time to sign up to have an entry in the parade! Businesses, Organizations, and families are all welcome and encouraged to participate in the Parade. See the Christmas in the Village page for the Parade form.
