Purrfect Match Daily Mews, Millington, TN (2026)

Purrfect Match Cat Rescue (aka Purrfect Match Cat Adoptions) is a 501C3 non-profit rescue group in the Memphis, TN area. We rescue cats and kittens from shelters as well as homeless community cats and provide them veterinary care, housing and socialization until they are ready for adoption. We do some local adoptions ourselves, but many of our cats and kittens go to rescue partners that we trust (

in Nashville, Maine, NH and RI) to find their forever homes, since the cat over population problem is better managed in those areas and there are more resources available for kitties in need. We operate solely based on donations and your generosity helps us save precious feline lives!! Purrfect Match Cat Adoptions was founded by a cat lover from the Memphis area who found joy and happiness in every “Purrfect Match” she created while volunteering for other rescues. Cats were, are, and always will be a huge part of our lives. These animals need a chance to show how much value they can add to a person’s life. Their absolute loyalty and love truly impacts our lives everyday. Purrfect Match Cat Adoptions believes that once a person finds that “Purrfect Match” with that purrfect cat, the chemistry created makes both the person and the animal more complete. There is nothing more fulfilling than when you see another cat ready and eager to start a new chapter of its life with a loving and caring person! Say hello to Aruba, who is officially living the good life in New Hampshire with her wonderful new family!

There is nothing our team loves more than getting "home pics," and Aruba's new mom, Rosalie, delivered big time. Look at that comfortable, happy girl!

Happy endings like this are all about teamwork in action. From our incredible Purrfect Match community powering the mission on our end, to phenomenal partners like Steph with Mitchell Animal Hospital Adoptions working alongside us, every single person played a part in getting Aruba safely home.

Her story:

Aruba and her 3 siblings were born to a homeless cat in a neighborhood off of Summer Ave. A nice senior citizen living in the area allowed the mother to come inside and she gave birth that very day. He did his best to care for the feline family, but being physically disabled and memory-impaired due to a stroke and on a short-term list for government subsidized assisted living, keeping any of them was not an option. He allowed the mother cat to go in and out and she disappeared one day, never to be seen again. When his move became imminent, his sister contacted Purrfect Match to see if we could help, and the kittens are now livening up MeowHouse! Aruba is old enough to complete her vetting and head up to New England to find her home, and we'd be so grateful for donations to help us get this done!

From an injured stray in Memphis to living the dream in Rhode Island—Stratus is officially HOME FOR GOOD! ☁️✨💛

When Stratus first came to Purrfect Match, he was in rough shape with a severe, abscessed leg wound. But once he received the proper medical care and love he needed, that wound healed right up—and his true personality shone through! He may have been named for a cloud, but Stratus is pure sunshine. He stole all of our hearts with his sweet nature, loving every human he met and getting along famously with other cats.

When he was ready for the next step of his journey, Stratus hit the road on transport to our wonderful adoption partner, Ten Lives Cat Rescue in Rhode Island, to find his forever family.

Plot twist: it gets better!🐾🥹

While in Rhode Island, Stratus was fostered with Purrfect Match alum, Costner, and the two boys quickly became besties. When Jim and his wife fell in love with Costner, they brought him home thinking they were strictly a one-cat family. But they just couldn't stop thinking about Stratus still in his foster home waiting for someone to choose him... so it didn't take long for them to submit an application to bring Stratus home, too!

Now, these two PM boys are officially reunited, happy, and so very loved. We couldn't ask for a better happy ending! 🥂

His story:

When we first saw Stratus, our hearts absolutely broke. This sweet, homeless boy was found in a Millington neighborhood hobbling pitifully with a painful injury to his front left leg. Living on the streets is dangerous enough, but being injured put him at an incredibly high risk of falling prey to predators or not being able to move out of the way of a car. We knew we couldn't let that happen!
We were so thankful to welcome him into the safety of MeowHouse and get him straight to the vet for an immediate exam and emergency care.
Thankfully, no bones were broken! It appears his painful limp was caused by a severe, abscessed bite wound. Our fantastic veterinary partners cleaned the wound and administered a long-acting antibiotic injection. With cage rest, good food and proper care, he is expected to heal up just fine!
We also have to take a moment to tell you how incredible this boy is. Despite being in pain, Stratus is an absolute pleasure! He is wonderfully affectionate, incredibly easy-going, and has captured the hearts of everyone who has met him.
His days of struggling to survive on the streets are officially over. Once he is fully healthy, healed, and vetted, he has a beautiful, loving indoor home in his future!
Taking in emergency cases like Stratus is only possible because of a community that cares. We would be so incredibly grateful for any donations to help us fund the cost of his veterinary care, medications, and rehabilitation.

🐾✨ ADOPTION CELEBRATION! ✨🐾

We’re celebrating another little kitten survivor finding his fairy tale ending — Cam is official adopted!! 🎉

Cam went home today in Maine with a wonderful, sweet couple who were looking for the perfect playmate for their 2-year-old kitty (also adopted from HART of Maine!). With a personality that is pure sunshine ☀️, we have no doubt Cam will win over his new kitty sibling in no time and his parents are already smitten!

His story:

When this little guy was only about 4 weeks old, he was found hiding inside the engine of a Toyota Camry in Memphis! Talk about a terrifying start to life. Luckily, his story took a turn for the better when he found his way to Purrfect Match! 🚗💨❤️
Since then, his incredible foster mom, Kimber, has been doing an amazing job taking care of him. Thanks to her love and dedication, Cam has grown into the most precious, social, and outgoing little kitty!
Now, Cam is officially big enough to begin his vetting process! To get him ready for his future forever home, we need to cover his vaccines, neuter, testing, and routine medical care.
We would be so grateful for any contribution to help cover his medical expenses! No amount is too small, and every single dollar goes directly toward getting Cam healthy, fully vetted, and ready for adoption.

We have some fantastic news to power up your weekend! 🐾✨

Maisy, a mommy cat we rescued from Memphis Animal Services, recently made the trip up north to our wonderful adoption partners at HART of Maine. This morning, we received the sweetest text and photos from her new mom, who happens to be a HART volunteer!

Mary Ellen shared this message with us, and we just had to pass the happy feels along to all of you:

"Hi Jill, I volunteer at HART, where Maisy landed from Memphis. She caught my eye on Monday when I’m a morning-cat-care/cleaner.

I had said goodbye to the last of 4 cats (lost within 2 years) in January… Ms Kitten was a 19-year-old (similarly) gray beauty.

Although I hadn’t yet decided I was ready to adopt, Maisy’s sweet, affectionate disposition changed my mind, and won my heart. The deal was sealed when she put herself in my carrier!!

These pics were taken just a couple hours after arriving home. As a retired gal in my third chapter, I suspect she will be my last cat. I’m so very happy she was saved from euthanasia, and she will be treated with the love, care, and respect she so deserves!

💜 Our four FeLV+ kittens—Pozy, Flozy, Bozy, and Shadow—are officially all tucked in at their new home at Leuk's Landing! 🐾✨

They will be acclimating in a cozy kennel space for the next few days to help them settle in comfortably and make sure they’re feeling 100% before getting free-range access to party with the rest of the Leuk's crew. But from the looks of it, they are already making themselves right at home!

A huge, heartfelt thank you to their incredible foster parents, Janet and Catlin. Not only did they shower these four with love and care for several months, but they also made the long drive to transport them up to Leuk's in Michigan! They were blown away by the facility—especially the amazing enclosed outdoor catio space the kitties will get to enjoy. Best of all, they got to catch up with Cooper, another PM alum who made the trip up to Leuk's last year and is thriving! 🥹❤️
