This one's for the animals! 🐶🐱

Our volunteers are showing some serious love for Utah's furry friends by making toys and cozy blankets for dogs and cats in foster care — all benefiting the Community Animal Welfare Society (CAWS), Utah's oldest no-kill rescue.

Plus, come find us at the event to shop handmade bracelets and drawings to help raise funds for CAWS! Every purchase makes a difference for an animal waiting for their forever home. 🏡💛

This month's focus is one of the most important steps you can take to protect your family and your home. Here's what to tackle in June:

✅ Review your insurance policies — and consider adding earthquake or flood coverage
✅ Make hard and digital copies of your policy documents, including your agent's contact info
✅ Walk through every room and photograph or video your belongings, capturing model and serial numbers
✅ Document any renovations or major upgrades
✅ Know your claim filing process before you ever need it — keep instructions in your emergency binder

🏠 Canyon Rim Cares 2026 — Service Project #3 of 25!

The countdown to July 18 continues, and today's project is close to home — literally.
Project #3: Move-Out Kits for The Road Home
When someone takes the courageous step of moving from a shelter into their own apartment, they deserve to walk through that door with more than just hope. On Canyon Rim Cares Day of Service, volunteers will assemble move-out kits for individuals and families transitioning into housing through The Road Home — one of Utah's most trusted organizations serving those experiencing homelessness.
Each kit will be packed into a decorated laundry bag — assembled and personalized by volunteers on the day — and filled with the everyday essentials that make a new place feel like home:
🛁 Bath towel, washcloths, soap, shampoo & conditioner
🧺 Laundry soap and a decorated laundry bag
🍽️ Can opener, dish soap, scrubbing sponges, stackable cups and bowls
🧻 Paper towels and toilet tissue
Simple things. Meaningful things. The kind of things most of us never think twice about — but that can make all the difference on day one of a new chapter.
This is one of those projects the whole family can participate in. Come ready to decorate, pack, and pour a little love into every bag. 💙

💙 Canyon Rim Cares 2026 — Service Project #2 of 25!

Our Day of Service countdown continues! On July 18, volunteers will partner with Angelita Acuña Presents for a truly unique and meaningful project.

Project #2: Words of Love — A Wearable Art Fashion Show
Volunteers will paint words of love, encouragement, and hope onto jeans and shirts, which will then be showcased in a fashion show supporting organizations working in su***de prevention.

This is a chance to create something beautiful with your hands — and send a powerful message with your heart. Every brushstroke is a reminder that everyone should be seen, heard and valued.

We're kicking off our countdown to Canyon Rim Cares Day of Service — July 18, 2026 — with the first of approximately 25 service projects our community will tackle together.

Project #1: Jordan River Commission Parkway Clean-Up Kits 💦

Volunteers will assemble river clean-up kits to support the Jordan River Commission's ongoing efforts to protect and restore the Jordan River Parkway. These kits will help keep one of Utah's most treasured natural corridors clean and welcoming for everyone. The kits will be distributed to organizations participating in the 2026 Get to the River Festival.

Goal: 500 kits
