We passed the gavel last night! 🤝

We spent the evening thanking Drew and the entire 2025-26 board for a year of real work. 🙌 It takes a village, and this one showed up. Then we welcomed our new president, Judy Zone, and the incoming board for 2026-27. Judy actually founded our club years ago but this year will be her first time serving on the board. 🎊

Here's where we're headed this year: more socials and more service projects with real impact right here in Millcreek and Salt Lake City.

In our Membership Survey, our members told us what they want most out of this club, friendship and local service, so that's exactly what we're building around.

New year, new board, same mission. 💙
Follow along as we get started. 🔜

Our neighborhood schools are facing real challenges right now.
Funding pressures, shrinking resources, and growing uncertainty about the future of public education in Utah are affecting students, teachers, and families every day — including right here in our community.
Moss Elementary serves hundreds of local kids who are counting on programs and support that are increasingly hard to come by.

The Millcreek Rotary Club believes that strong schools build strong communities and that local action can make a real difference for the children who live right down the street.
We're working on something to help. Stay tuned. 🌟

☀️Great food, great fellowship, and a great reminder of the impact Rotary can have when we come together.☀️

This past weekend, members of the Rotary Club of Millcreek joined fellow Rotarians from clubs across the Salt Lake Valley for an afternoon of BBQ, conversation, and connection. It was wonderful to meet new friends, reconnect with familiar faces, and share ideas about serving our communities.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the event happen...and yes, the food was fantastic! 🍔

🌳We are thrilled to share that our Fruit Tree Global Grant in Uganda has officially been approved!🌳

The inspiration for this project began during a visit to Uganda in 2021, where we toured sites connected to a previous Global Grant supporting teaching farms and fish farming initiatives. During that trip, we learned about a significant challenge facing local farmers: a fungal infection that was devastating mango harvests by preventing the fruit from fully developing.

In response, this new project will help communities plant a more disease-resistant variety of mango tree, improving harvest reliability and food security. To further strengthen nutrition and economic opportunity, the project has expanded to include jackfruit and breadfruit trees as well.

The project will support communities in eastern Uganda, where our previous fish farming efforts were focused, as well as families living in the Nakivale Refugee Settlement in southern Uganda.

By investing in sustainable agriculture and long-term food production, this project will help create lasting benefits for families and communities for years to come.

We look forward to sharing updates as the project moves forward!

The Rotary Club of Millcreek is proud to sponsor a field trip for William Penn Elementary students to visit the Bug World exhibit at the Natural History Museum of Utah 🐞

We’ll be meeting the students at the museum and chaperoning their visit as they explore the fascinating world of insects. It’s a great opportunity to bring science to life and spark curiosity outside the classroom!

We’re making progress—but we’re not there yet 💙

The Rotary Club of Millcreek, Utah continues to support the Rotaract Club of Nakivale Rubondo in Uganda as they work to provide critical resources for girls in the Nakivale Refugee Settlement. Thanks to those who have already donated and shared, we’re moving closer to our goal—but we still need more support to get there.

This project will provide 300 vulnerable girls and women with reusable sanitary pads, hands-on training to make their own, and essential menstrual health and reproductive education. It’s about more than supplies—it’s about keeping girls in school, protecting their health, and restoring dignity.

If you’ve been meaning to give, now is the time. And if you can’t donate, sharing this post makes a real impact too.
