Introducing Love, Rosie 🌹

When I started my first period, I was scared and unsure of what was happening to my body. My grandma Rosie took me for ice cream, explained that I was entering womanhood, and reminded me that there was nothing to fear or be ashamed of. She transformed my moment of doubt into a moment of love, comfort and celebration.

Without even realizing it, Grandma Rosie planted something in me that would have a generational impact. The love and reassurance she gave me inspired my desire to help other young ladies feel supported and celebrated during this important transition in their lives.

Losing Grandma Rosie this year made me even more determined to bring Love, Rosie to life. She may no longer be here to continue spreading her love herself, but through us, her love will live on—touching and uplifting girls for generations to come.

Through Love, Rosie, we hope to provide young ladies with ice-cream gift cards and create a sweet, comforting memory during a moment that may otherwise feel frightening or uncertain.

Please help us celebrate a young lady in her moment of doubt. Together, we can continue Grandma Rosie’s legacy of women supporting women—for generations. 🌹🍦

I’m so excited to finally share this! 💜✨

I’m honored to officially join Behind the Lavalava Foundation as a Board Member and Program Manager for NOVA.

Through Ladies in Bloom, I’ve already had the privilege of pouring into young women and girls, helping them build confidence, self-love, and know their worth. Being given the opportunity to lead NOVA feels like a beautiful extension of work I already love so deeply—just another way to reach more girls, meet more needs, and make an even greater impact.

NOVA is for girls ages 8–17, helping provide period-care essentials, education, resources, and a space where girls can feel comfortable and confident caring for themselves without embarrassment or shame.

I truly believe that when we pour into one young lady, that impact doesn’t stop with her. It reaches her family, her community, and hopefully generations after her. 💜

I’m incredibly grateful to Behind the Lavalava Foundation for trusting me with this program and welcoming me onto the board. I’m excited to bring what I’ve learned through Ladies in Bloom into this new role, while also learning, growing, and helping NOVA become something really special.

Two organizations. One thing that has my heart: helping our girls know their value and giving them the tools to thrive. 🌟

NOVA — Generational Impact in Action.

Introducing Jolisna Hong aka Jojo, joining our team as the Program Manager for NOVA and a Board Member.

NOVA is a new program launching at the Youth Resource Fair on September 12, created for young girls ages 8-17. Our mission is to empower young girls with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to care for their bodies with dignity.

Jojo is a business owner, licensed cosmetologist and instructor, nonprofit founder, and passionate advocate for young women and girls. Originally from Hawaiʻi and now living in Utah, she brings more than a decade of experience in business, mentorship, and service.

When we pour into one young lady, we impact more than just her. We impact her family, her community, and the generations that follow.

We’re excited to have Jojo lead NOVA and help us build something that creates confidence, dignity, and generational impact.
