We are a proud local council of Girls on the Run International, serving girls across Burlington, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Morris, and Union Counties in New Jersey. Girls on the Run NJ East is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit council of Girls on the Run International, a nationally recognized youth development program that uses the power of running to help girls build confidence, connection, and healthy habit

s. We serve more than 1,800 girls annually in Burlington, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Morris, and Union counties. Our programs are delivered by trained volunteer coaches in schools, parks and community centers, culminating in a joyful 5K celebration. 💗💪 MUD, GRIT & BOLD HEARTS AHEAD! 💪💗

This Saturday, two incredible Girls on the Run NJ East coaches are stepping way outside their comfort zones and into the mud as they take on the NJ MudGirl obstacle course race!

As coaches, Denise and Diamond spend their seasons encouraging girls to be brave, embrace challenges, and believe in themselves. Now they're leading by example—showing what it looks like to do hard things, take risks, and say YES to a new adventure.

Even better? They're getting muddy as SoleMates, turning every obstacle into an opportunity to support Girls on the Run NJ East. The funds they raise help ensure that more girls across New Jersey have access to our life-changing program, regardless of financial circumstances.

When we ask our girls to be bold, we mean it. And these coaches are proving that boldness doesn't stop when you grow up.

Please join us in welcoming Caitlin Kolczynski to the Girls on the Run NJ East Board of Directors!

Caitlin is a Certified Financial Planner and Director at the Mercadien Group who has been supporting Girls on the Run NJ East for years as a volunteer, Associate Board member, and South 5K Parking Lead.

If you've attended our South 5K in Trenton, you've likely seen Caitlin in action! Since 2018, she's helped lead the incredible parking team that welcomes thousands of participants, families, coaches, volunteers, and supporters to our biggest celebration of the season.

Beyond Girls on the Run, Caitlin also serves on the Board of Directors for the Arts Council of Princeton and is a member of the Next Gen Giving Circle at the Princeton Area Community Foundation.

We are grateful for Caitlin's longstanding commitment to our mission and excited to have her leadership, expertise, and enthusiasm helping guide the future of Girls on the Run NJ East.

We're grateful to Capital Health for helping make our Spring 2026 season possible!

As our Mercer County curriculum sponsor, they helped bring Girls on the Run to hundreds of girls throughout the region. They also adopted the Stokes Elementary team in Trenton and supported our South 5K Celebration, helping create opportunities for girls to build confidence, connection, and Heart Power all season long.
