What an incredible day at the Seattle Soccer Celebration! 🫀⚽☀️
Yesterday's EKG Youth Heart Screening at Pier 62 was nothing short of extraordinary, and it wouldn't have happened without some truly amazing partners.

A huge thank you to Seattle Reign FC for making this event possible and for bringing the energy and spirit of women's soccer to everything you do. Your commitment to this community goes far beyond the pitch. Thank you to Liz, Emma, and Cassie Miller Blinn for working with us to make this event happen.

We're also deeply grateful to Medic One Foundation for their incredible CPR support, and to Laerdal for loaning us their QCPR manikins. Watching participants light up as they followed the CPR race on the big screen was something special. Hands-only CPR has never been so fun or so meaningful.

Beautiful day. Breathtaking venue. Outstanding volunteers. Generous partners. And young hearts screened in one of the most unique settings we've ever had the privilege of working in.

❤️ Women in Sports and Events: Seattle!

Join us Thursday, June 4, from 6–8 PM for a hands-on networking evening during CPR & AED Awareness Week, connection, community, and a cause, all in one room.

At just 16, Nick Varrenti collapsed from sudden cardiac arrest during a high school football game due to an undiagnosed heart condition. The Nick of Time Foundation was created in his memory to protect other young hearts and other families. This evening carries that mission forward.

It's National CPR & AED Awareness Week (June 1–7), and there's no better time to learn a skill that could save someone you love. 💙

When sudden cardiac arrest happens, every second counts. CPR started immediately can double or even triple a person's chance of survival. The best part? You don't need to be a medical professional, and you don't need formal certification to act.

Hands-Only CPR takes just two steps:
1️⃣ Call 911
2️⃣ Push hard and fast in the center of the chest
That's it. Those two steps can keep a heart pumping until help arrives.

This week, we're asking our Nick of Time family to do one thing: make sure the people in your home know how to respond in an emergency. Teach your kids. Show your parents. Locate the nearest AED at your school, gym, or workplace. A family that knows how to save a life is a family prepared for the unexpected.

What a way to wrap up our 2025–2026 EKG Youth Heart Screening year! 🎉
On Friday, May 16th, at the HAPO Center in Pasco, something really special happened, and it was a long time in the making.
We screened 324 young hearts 💙

And this year, thanks to our incredible partner Stryker, we went beyond the EKG. We taught the students and some parents, too, the importance of hands-only CPR and how to use an AED. Giving a community those skills is a gift that lasts long after we pack up and head home. 💪

This screening has been a year in the making, and what a journey it has been. Our NoTF team made the 3.5-hour trip to the Tri-Cities not just to screen, but to train local Tri-Cities volunteers on our program, our protocols, and everything it takes to run an event like this. That investment matters deeply to us. Without communities like yours stepping up and learning the ropes, we couldn't spread this mission to the rural areas that need it most.

And now? This program is in great hands. The Tri-Cities community has everything it needs to carry this forward, and that means we can continue to reach other communities that are ready and waiting for exactly this kind of program. 🌟

⚽❤️ Big news, NoTF community, we're heading to the pitch!

Nick of Time Foundation is thrilled to be part of ❤️Screening on the Floating Pitch, a very special event tied to the Seattle Soccer Celebration. The Seattle Sounders FC and Seattle Reign FC waterfront World Cup experience at Pier 62 this summer.

June 14th is a day where heart health meets the beautiful game right on the water, surrounded by the soccer community that has championed HeartSafe environments alongside us for years.

From the moment our young people walk through the door, it's our nurse volunteers who help them feel safe, cared for, and seen. Your clinical expertise keeps our screenings running smoothly, but it's your compassion that makes the real difference. You don't just check hearts, you protect them.

The Nick of Time Foundation was built on the belief that no family should lose a child to sudden cardiac arrest. Our nurses live that belief every single day they volunteer with us.
