After careful consideration, NWF Pirates will be fielding only a 13U tackle football team for the upcoming season.

This decision was not made lightly. After ongoing discussions regarding park availability, field usage, and other organizational factors, we believe it is in the best interest of our program to focus on the age groups where we have consistently seen the strongest interest and participation—primarily ages 11, 12, and 13, with the majority of our athletes being 12- and 13-year-olds.

In accordance with Pop Warner’s age-based football divisions, the 13U division allows eligible athletes ages 11, 12, and 13 to compete together on the same team. This provides us the opportunity to keep our athletes together while continuing to build a strong, competitive, and positive football experience.

Cheer

Our Competition Cheer program will remain open to all eligible Pop Warner cheer age divisions, allowing athletes to continue participating and competing based on their appropriate age group.

For Sideline Cheer, we will only offer squads supporting our 13U tackle football team. Sideline cheer registration will be limited to athletes who fall within the corresponding Pop Warner cheer divisions that support this age group, including Jr. Varsity and Varsity eligibility.

🚨 COMMUNITY PSA – WE NEED YOUR HELP 🚨

To our Northwest Florida Pirates family and the entire community,

We want to be transparent with everyone. Unfortunately, the agreement we had in place for field access has fallen through, leaving our football and cheer program without a home field for the upcoming season.

Rather than giving up, we're looking for an opportunity to build something even stronger.

We've been following what's happening at Tiger Point and understand the challenges they are currently facing with the county. We believe this could be an opportunity for everyone to come together. Instead of competing, two local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations could work side by side to build an incredible future for youth tackle football and cheer in our community.

A partnership like this could not only provide a home for the Northwest Florida Pirates, but it could also strengthen Tiger Point's position by bringing additional families, volunteers, resources, and community support to the park. Together, we may be able to help preserve youth sports at Tiger Point while creating more opportunities for our children.

This isn't about one organization versus another. It's about putting kids first and building something that benefits the entire community.

We're asking for your help. If you believe in collaboration over division and want to see our youth continue to have a place to play, please respectfully reach out, share this message, and help us start the conversation. Community support can make all the difference.

The Northwest Florida Pirates remain committed to providing a positive, competitive, and character-building experience for every athlete. We simply need a place to call home.

Graduation week is upon us. First, we want to say congratulations to all the 2026 seniors in the surrounding communities, and we hope you go forth and become great. Secondly, we need all people who have registered for the 2026 season to keep posted for summer conditioning to start mid-month. We have had some ups and downs with field usage, but we think it's all sorted out now. Thank you for your patience.
