The Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Association will be hosting its annual Pearl Harbor Commemorative Match to remember our heroes both past and present. This match will be held on December 3, at the Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Club located at 9093 Ringwald Road. The safety briefing will be held at 9:00A.M. and the match will start at 9:45A.M. If you ever wanted to shoot an M-1 Garand, this is the match to attend. Once you shoot in the match, you will be eligible to purchase an M-1 from the CMP. If you do not have a rifle, the club has M-1 rifles to loan out to the public to use in this match. However, any military rifle may be used. The cost to participate is $5.00, which is the target fee. If you need to purchase ammo, the club has 30.06 ammo at $23.00 for thirty-five rounds.
If you have never participated in a match, there will be a clinic starting at 9:00A.M. The clinic will include how an M-1 operates as well as match protocols. The club also has a National Match AR 15 for participants who might wish to try it out.

The Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Association will be hosting a Modern Military CMP Sanctioned match on October 15, 2022. This match is open to any rifle that falls into the modern military category such as an AR 15, M-14, or M-1 Garand. Also, any other formal military rifle may be used such as a 1903-A3, 1917, or any other foreign military rifle.
Registration starts at 8:45A.M. and the match will begin at 9:45A.M. If you have never participated in a match at the Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Association, please arrive by 9:00A.M. The range safety briefing starts at 9:30A.M.
The Civilian Marksmanship Program will be bringing their electronic targets for this match. There will be no walking or pasting of targets. Participants do not need to bring any equipment to use the target system. The system will record the shot and will show the results on your screen. You only need to have your own personal equipment to participate such as your firearm.
The club has 30.06 and .223 ammunition you may purchase to use in this match. If you need more information, please call Tod at 419-203-8662.

Small caliber rimfire range will be closed Sunday October 9.

Entire range will be closed at Noon October 14 thru 3:00 PM October 15.

The Van Wert County Sheriff's Department will be using the range on September 15, 16, 17 from 7am to 4pm so the range will be closed during those times.

The Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Association will be hosting an M-1 Garand match. This match will be held on August 20 at the Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Club located at 9093 Ringwald Road. The safety briefing will be held at 9:30 A.M. and the match will start at 9:45.

Any modern military rifle may be used such as an M-1 Garand, AR 15, and other such rifles. You may use iron sights or scoped rifles. Once you shoot in the match, you will be eligible to purchase an M-1 Garand from the CMP. If you do not have a rifle, the club has M-1 rifles to loan out to the public to use in this match. The club also has a National Match AR 15 for participants that might wish to try it out. However, any military rifle may be used.

The cost to participate is $5.00, which is a target fee. If you need to purchase ammo, the club has 30.06 ammo at $23.00 for 35 rounds. The AR-15 ammo is $18.00 for 35 rounds which includes the target fee.

If you do not have a rifle, the club has M-1 rifles to loan out to the public to use in this match. The club also has a National Match AR 15 for participants that might wish to try it out. However, any military rifle may be used.

The cost to participate is $5.00, which is a target fee. If you need to purchase ammo, the club has 30.06 ammo at $23.00 for 35 rounds. The AR-15 ammo is $18.00 for 35 rounds which includes the target fee.
