DESIGN BABY’S FIRST LIBRARY CARD

Your artwork could welcome thousands of Miami-Dade babies to the library. The Miami-Dade Public Library System and the Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library are partnering with UNIQLO to launch a special Library Card & Tote Bag Design Contest - and we’re looking for original artwork from Miami-Dade County residents.

One winning design will be featured on a limited-edition library card and a co-branded UNIQLO My First Library Card tote bag. The totes will be filled with newborn essentials and library and community resources, then given to families at hospitals across the County. The winner will also receive a $500 Uniqlo gift card.

Your artwork could welcome thousands of Miami-Dade babies to the library. It will be the first thing thousands of new parents see when their baby receives their first library card.

READY TO ENTER?

The contest is open October 1–31, 2026 to Miami-Dade County residents age 13 and older who have an MDPLS library card. Before submitting your design, be sure to review the entry rules and design specifications, including the requirement that artwork be original and not AI-generated.

The winning design and runners-up will be revealed on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at special events at the Miami Beach Regional Library from 1:30p-3:00p and the Northeast Dade–Aventura Branch Library from 4:00p -5:30p. Scan the QR for more info 🎉
