Hundreds gathered Sunday in Madison for the Ride for Your Life event honoring the life of Sasha Rosen 🙏

Sasha was killed in a hit and run in February on his was to school at the age of 17. His mother Nadya has been advocating for safer streets, including pushing for Sasha's Bill that would in Wisconsin.

Cities like Cleveland recently participated in Parking(ing) Day, demonstrating what’s possible when we reimagine how we use our streets. It’s not to say that all parking spots should be removed, rather that repurposing just a handful of spaces can increase safety and other opportunities.

Sasha Rosen was 17 years old when a driver going 62 in a 25 mph zone struck and killed him in a crosswalk.

His mother, Nadya, is now pressing lawmakers in Wisconsin to enact legislation that would prevent the worst offenders from exceeding posted speed limits with the use of ISA technology.

Crossing guard Bruce Morlack sacrificed his life to save school children in a crosswalk from a dangerous driver. This is a decision nobody should ever have to make, and unfortunately Bruce is one of three New Jersey crossing guards who have been killed on the job in as many years.

Today is officially New Jersey Pedestrian Crosswalk Safety Day in honor of Bruce and all the crossing guards working to protect our school children.
