🚨 URGENT — BROWARD COUNTY, PLEASE SHARE! 🚨

The Pembroke Pines Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man shown in a deeply disturbing video that police say appears to depict the abuse and killing of several Muscovy ducks, including ducklings.

This is absolutely horrific. FARA does not tolerate cruelty toward any animal, regardless of their species or how they are classified.

Muscovies are a unique and intelligent species of duck. Their mothers are incredibly devoted to their babies. They protect them, teach them how to find food and swim, and care for them until they become independent. These animals feel fear, pain, and distress, and they deserve protection.

If you recognize this man or have any information, please contact the Pembroke Pines Police Department immediately. Please do not confront him or share unverified personal information online 🚨send all tips directly to law enforcement🚨

to the first half of the year

From volunteer events to rescues, transports, vet visits, fosters, placements, and supporting our sanctuary partners, the first half of 2026 kept us incredibly busy.

We’re so grateful for every volunteer, foster, donor, veterinarian, transporter, sanctuary partner, and supporter who helped us continue showing up for animals in need.

So many memories, so many lives touched, and so much more still ahead.

Y’all may remember me as the Boss Rabbit. The Queen. Then yes, you remembered correctly: I RULE this house

Well, apparently we’ve had this new duck here for the past few days… or weeks… honestly, I don’t keep track of these things. 🦆🙄

But every morning, after Momma gets his area all nice and clean, I make sure to stop by for my daily inspection and remind him exactly who’s in charge around here.

Not the cats.
Not the hamsters I don’t even see those little things 😂
Not the dogs.
And definitely not the ducks.

There is a very clear hierarchy in this house, and I am at the TOP🐰👑

So yes, Mr. George, enjoy your freshly cleaned area… but never forget whose kingdom you’re living in.

🐹💚 Hi everyone, Pops here!

As of last evening, I have officially been moved into my own apartment again. 😌🏠

You see… I may have been bullying two of the boys a little bit. I never actually hurt them, but now they’re bigger and, well… they hurt me. 😔

It happens.

So for everyone’s safety, I’m back to living the single life, which is probably better for me anyway since I’m a senior gentleman and deserve a little peace and quiet. 💚

If anyone would like to help me settle back into bachelor life, we could really use some bedding, hamster sprays, accessories and donations right now. Every little bit helps!

And don’t forget about those naughty boys 😂 they are still looking for homes, along with the Brady Bunch girls, who are also still available for adoption!

🦆 FRIDAY SANCTUARY SPOTLIGHT: THE MUSCOVY SANCTUARY OF FLORIDA 🦆

Some organizations become part of your network.

And then there are the ones that become part of your story.

For FARA, The Muscovy Sanctuary of Florida is one of those places. 💚

They have guided us, supported us, mentored us, educated us, answered our questions, and stood beside us through difficult Muscovy cases when we needed help figuring out what came next.

When we look back on our experiences with these incredibly misunderstood birds, we don’t just remember the ducks.

We remember the people who answered the messages. The people who picked up the phone. The people who shared their knowledge without hesitation. The people who helped us keep going when a case felt overwhelming.

And again and again, Gail and Muscovy Sanctuary of Florida have been those people for us.

Gail, their founder, is truly a superhuman. The amount of compassion, knowledge, patience, and dedication she pours into these animals is extraordinary.

Muscovies are so often dismissed, overlooked, injured, displaced, or treated like their lives don’t matter.

But they do matter.

They are intelligent. They form bonds. They feel fear, comfort, trust, and safety. And they deserve compassion.

That is what Muscovy Sanctuary of Florida gives them every single day.

We are incredibly grateful for every lesson, every conversation, every bit of guidance, and every difficult case Gail and the sanctuary have helped us navigate.

Gail, thank you for mentoring us. Thank you for supporting us. Thank you for always being there for the ducks and for being there for FARA more times than we can count.

Today, we want to return even a small piece of that love by putting the spotlight exactly where it belongs. 💚
