Another special group of the York Rite, Nutmeg Chapel #29, Commemorative Order of St Thomas of Acon met on August 29th and welcomed 2 new Knights into the Order! Membership into this English Order of Chivalry so entwined with history, is by invitation only. A Master Mason that is also a Royal Arch Mason and a Knight Templar can be eligible for consideration.

The Stated Convocation of Keystone Chapter #6 Royal Arch Masons was held on Tuesday September 1st. Excellent Companion Vince Cowie presented a fascinating historical sketch of Washington Chapter #6 dating back to 1783. Vince also let all the Companions view the original Charter of Washington and turned over a framed copy for display. In addition, Companion Cowie submitted a historical scrap book of sorts as well as a flash drive containing thousands of digitized records and historial documents; a labor of love that Vince devoted countless hours to. Secretary Jasoon Rieger followed with a historical sketch of Keystone Chapter as a sequel in the 243 year old story.
Keystone Excellent High Priest Phil Sharkey also took a moment to pose with the R.A.R.A. Championship belt which Keystone won for the most contributions during the Capitular year!

At a Special Convocation on Saturday August 22nd, KEYSTONE CHAPTER #6 conferred the Most Excellent Master Degree on 6 Brothers and then after a recess for breakfast, conferred the Royal Arch and Exalted TEN Companions! Of the ten Companions, 6 were from Keystone, 3 from Union, and 1 from Trinity. EHP Phil Sharkey and his team did an outstanding job in every aspect - Coordination and Ex*****on! It was a wonderful event and a great winfall for York Rite Masonry!

On June 16th, St Elmo Commandery 9 conferred The Order of the Temple and welcomed 4 Sir Knights into the ranks of Connecticut Templary. Three of the new Sir Knights were from Palestine Commandery 6 in Preston, CT.

Congratulations to Comp. Dan Luft who's been appointed Grand Marshall of the Most Puissant Grand Council of CT. Congratulations also to Comps. Kristian Maiorino and Greg Whitehouse who've been appointed as Grand Principal Sojourner and Grand Royal Arch Captain respectively, of the Grand Chapter R.A.M. of CT. And we can't forget Comp. Jason Rieger who's been elected as M.E. Grand High Priest for the Grand Chapter R.A.M. of CT.
