⚾️ MYB Board Nominations Are Now Open! ⚾️

As another season comes to a close, it’s time to begin planning for the next one.

Mercersburg Youth Baseball is now accepting nominations for the 2027 Board of Directors. If you are interested in helping shape the future of our league, or know someone who would be a great fit, we encourage you to submit a nomination.

All board positions are open for nomination and serve a one-year term beginning September 1, 2026. Nominees must be a parent or guardian of a registered MYB player.

Available positions include:

• President
• Vice President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Concession Liaison
• Fundraising & Sponsorship Liaison
• Equipment Liaison
• Spiritwear Liaison
• Special Events Liaison
• Communications Manager

MYB is successful because of the volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to our players, families, and community. Whether you have experience serving on a board or simply want to become more involved, we welcome your interest.

⚾️ The Future of MYB ⚾️

Every player who steps onto a T-Ball field starts their baseball journey somewhere, and these young athletes are the future of Mercersburg Youth Baseball. We can’t wait to watch them continue to grow and move through the league in the years ahead.

We’re proud of every one of our T-Ballers and can’t wait to see you back at the ballfield next year.

Every season has its MVP quote. This year’s might just be, “I am the king of baseballs.” 👑⚾

⚾️ What a way to close out the 2026 MYB season! ⚾️

Closing Day was packed with excitement from start to finish.

We kicked things off with the T-Ball Championship Game, and what a game it was! The championship battle needed an extra inning to decide a winner, but in the end, the Tornadoes came out on top as our 2026 T-Ball Champions. Congratulations to all teams on a great season!

We then gathered for our Closing Day Ceremony to recognize some outstanding players and coaches who helped make this season special.

8U – Brantley Delauter
10U – Turner Morris (accepted by Coach Brian on his behalf)
12U – Luke Lindner

🌟 Rookie of the Year: Theo Carbaugh

💙 Levi Grubbs Good Sportsmanship Award: Elam Hine (accepted by Coach Tesha on his behalf)

A special recognition was also given to our 12U Little League graduates as they prepare to move on to the next chapter of their baseball journey.

Next came the Home Run Derby, where some of our biggest sluggers put on a show!

The evening continued with one of the most anticipated events of the season: the 12U Players vs. Coaches Game. It was a hard-fought battle that had everyone laughing and cheering. The coaches managed to pull out the win.

To wrap up the night, families spread out on the field under the stars to enjoy The Rookie of the Year with fresh-popped popcorn, a perfect ending to another memorable season.

Thank you to our players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and families for making this season possible. We can’t wait to see you back on the field this week for playoffs!

Teachers make a difference far beyond the classroom, and last week our MYB players got the chance to thank some of theirs in person. ⚾🍎

Thank you to all of the teachers who came out to support our players during Teacher Nights. Your encouragement, patience, and impact on these kids does not go unnoticed.

We loved seeing our athletes share the field with the teachers who help shape them every day. ❤️
