In case you missed it, come on down! It’s the last regular weekend for the Fulton House and the Museum. Stop in to see Jack Kelso’s amazing pen and ink sketches of local buildings, try to find your favorite vintage car ad in the license plate display, learn about “across the world” traveling in Dr. Trout’s display and take your picture in the 1948 Chevrolet! Plus so much more. Open today 10-4, tomorrow 1-4. We will reopen during Fulton Fall Folk Festival and in December for the Festival of Trees.

In 1870, the McConnellsburg Methodist congregation moved from North Third Street to the brick location on the courthouse square, shown here in 1907. In 1924, the cornerstone for a new building located on the same site was laid as described here in a Fulton County News article from May 22, 1924. This new church is shown here in a photo dated 1941.

Visit the Fulton House this weekend for a look into the art exhibit of Jack Kelso’s historic pen and ink sketches. They are amazing!

Then take a short walk across the street to the Museum and check out our new exhibits there: 1948 Chevrolet, 30 years of Bowling, JLG Industries and a collection of PA license plates. Both locations open Saturdays 10-4, Sundays 1-4.

Appropriate to the fair this week we've chosen the barn quilt block located at the county fair grounds. The Fulton County Fair Association has chosen the County Fair design to be displayed at the Fulton County Fairgrounds. This pattern represents a festive fair/carnival atmosphere that has been celebrated by young and old for generations. The pattern is garnished by the coveted blue ribbon desired by all who enter their prized animal, choice vegetable, canned goods or intricate needlework.
