This week, VIDA welcomed the Workforce Development Division from UnidosUS for a two-day site visit to learn more about our organization, workforce development model, and the impact of our programming across the Rio Grande Valley.

During their visit, our participants engaged in meaningful conversations about the growing role of AI in education and workforce development and shared how the Muévete initiative has helped them advance their career goals. Through funding awarded to VIDA in 2025, the Muévete program provided participants with access to industry-recognized credentials and professional certificates from leading institutions, including Harvard University, Rice University, and Columbia University.

We were honored to host Sebastian Ameriso, Program Manager, and Adrean Vargas, Director of Adult Education and Workforce Development at UnidosUS. Their visit created valuable opportunities for learning, collaboration, and connection with our participants and staff.

We are grateful for our partnership with UnidosUS and their continued support of VIDA’s mission to create pathways to economic mobility through education, training, and workforce development opportunities.

Together, we are building a stronger workforce and expanding opportunities for families across the Rio Grande Valley. 💙

Our President & CEO, Felida Villarreal, attended the IDEA Public Schools Key Gala: Unlocking Possibilities in Austin, celebrating the power of education to transform lives and engaging with partners committed to expanding opportunity for students across the state. ✨
