More than 30 leaders joined our Delegates Assembly with Valley Interfaith ✨

We gathered to listen deeply and lift up the realities impacting our communities — immigration, flooding, workforce development, and healthcare. Leaders shared stories, identified common concerns, and helped shape the direction of our collective work.

We also launched our house meeting campaign with 14 institutions and 3 guest institutions who were also in attendance.

Make sure to register for a house meeting training! ✅
•March 3 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church-San Juan at 7pm
•March 7 at Saint Anne Catholic Church-Penitas at 2 pm
•March 12 at St. Eugene de Mazenod Catholic Church-Brownsville at 6:30 pm

Together we renewed our commitment to growing relational power. Stronger relationships mean stronger communities, and we are moving forward with clarity, unity, and purpose.

Another powerful day with Valley Interfaith leaders and institutions this past weekend at our leaders retreat. ✨

-We strengthened relationships, clarified our shared priorities, and broke into small groups to deepen leadership and move the work forward.

-Organizing is slow, steady and collective. Together our institutions are building the power needed to improve quality of life across the Rio Grande Valley.

Congratulations Valley Interfaith Leaders!!
Valley Interfaith's 'Recognizing the Stranger' training drew 87 ministry leaders from 15 local parishes in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Bishop Daniel Flores delivered stirring remarks noting Pope Francis' constant reminders of three aspects of the synodal process to develop in parish life: communion, mission and participation. Bishop Flores also emphasized that a transformed heart ("resurrected vision") seeks what, as a community, can be done to make life better and more human for those most vulnerable.
