Hurricane Isaias is officially the first hurricane of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season.

On October 7, Hurricane Hunter aircraft confirmed that Isaias had strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane, with sustained winds of 75 mph (120 km/h).
