Say hello to Bucky!!! This boy is available for adoption and is super sweet!!!!
5 yr old male, located in Mentor Ohio.

There are requirements to adopt him.
He has separation anxiety and needs someone home a lot!! He howls very loudly when separated. He needs a fenced yard to run in, and he does not do well with small children (Toddler Age). He is good with other dogs and does best in a home where there is at least one other dog! He is house trained, but has never been crated due to his separation anxiety.
He is neutered and up to date on all vaccines.

Our permanent foster Ziggy had a dental yesterday. The cost of permanent fosters is always a struggle. If you can help to pay his bill, it is greatly appreciated.

Hi All!!!

It’s been awhile since I have posted!! Things are getting tougher and tougher out there for rescues. Vet costs have soared along with everything else!! Cherished Cockers has struggled to pay our vet costs more and more. We especially struggle to maintain our 3 permanent Foster’s. Beau (black) Tater (blonde) and Ziggy (brown) have been with us for 3 plus years. They are unadoptable due to age, health issues, behavioral, (anxiety, feral background, etc.) I am asking for financial help in paying their annual vet costs, medication, ear maintenance (Beau) and bloodwork, food, heartworm/flea prevention. Our senior/fund, permanent foster account has been drained, and we really need the help!!! Please if you can, DONATE, SHARE THIS POST, PRAY, all help is appreciated!!!!

Rosie is the sweetest, cuddliest, most loving dog. She’s an 8-year-old cocker spaniel with lots of love to give. 🙂

Rosie is potty trained, though she reverts back to old behaviors when in a new home (having accidents inside). After some time, she will go potty outside only, it will just take love and patience! She has been previously crate trained but has separation anxiety and fear of the crate, so she will panic and try to escape the crate in new environments (which can be dangerous for her). If possible, a crate-free home would be best.

Rosie takes daily allergy medication with her food and she gets groomed regularly and needs bathed every 1-2 weeks or she gets very itchy, and bathing helps her a ton! She has a long history of ear infections, and she gets regular check-ups at the vet. She does very well with kids and other dogs, and she lived with cats as a puppy.

We need someone who can spend a lot of time with Rosie while she gets adjusted. Rosie is a pretty anxious girl, but as time goes on, she will become a couch potato who loves to snuggle! She also loves to play and go on walks like any other dog, but she can also be very lazy and chill. Rosie is the sweetest girl you will ever meet!

Toby – Loving, Cuddly Boy Ready for His Forever Home
Toby is a sweet, affectionate dog who came from a loving home in South Carolina. Unfortunately, his family had to make the difficult decision to find him a new home after the mom received a diagnosis in April 2026 for a rare medical condition. The resulting financial stress made it impossible for them to continue giving Toby the care and attention he deserves.
About Toby:
Toby is a very lovable companion who thrives on closeness. He loves nothing more than cuddling on the couch or sitting with his people all day long. He is often referred to as a neck scarf.

He’s gentle and enjoys the company of humans, but he would do best in a home where someone is home often, as he really bonds deeply and prefers not to be left alone for long stretches.

Walks are his absolute favorite thing in the world! He lights up the moment he sees the leash and enjoys exploring the neighborhood. He has a playful side too—he loves chasing squirrels and rabbits, and if a door is accidentally left open, he may decide it’s time for an adventure (he’s a bit of an escape artist when it comes to open doors). Because of this, a securely fenced yard is a must.
Toby is looking for a patient, loving family who can give him the stability, daily walks, and affection he craves. He has a big heart and will repay your love with endless cuddles, loyalty, and happy zoomies in the yard.
He is often mistaken for a puppy as he can be playful and loves to roll around on his back, I’m a scratchy rug
