The final count is in! Local 3879 members were able to raise $12,500 for Muscular Dystrophy Association. Thank you to everyone who donated in person or online to this wonderful cause!

As today marks the 25th anniversary of the attacks of Sept 11, 2001 we take time to remember the lives lost and changed that day. 343 FDNY firefighters died that day, with more than 600 firefighters having died since of 9/11-related illnesses. We remember their sacrifices, and hope to honor their bravery and dedication every single day.

A big thank you to everyone that donated during our Fill the Boot event for Muscular Dystrophy Association! We are still tallying the total but it was a record year for sure! We will share that when we do a check presentation!

A big congratulations to Firefighter/AEMT Steve Rehse and Firefighter/Paramedic Sean Foley who were sworn in today as Lieutenants. Lt Rehse and Lt Foley are both long-serving members and they worked hard to obtain these promotions. The rest of Local 3879 wishes them all the best in their new positions!
