☀️ Why We Don’t Automatically Cancel Practice During Hot Weather ☀️
We understand that high temperatures can be a concern for families, and player safety is always our top priority.
Rather than issuing league-wide cancellations based solely on the forecast, we leave the decision to hold practice up to each coach, who can best evaluate field conditions, player activity, and the needs of their team.
To help keep players safe during warm weather, we encourage:
💧 Water breaks every 10-15 minutes
⏰ Unlimited additional breaks whenever a player needs one
⚾ Practice plans that often focus on skills and instruction rather than continuous running or intense conditioning
We are fortunate that almost all of our practice fields have significant shade in the evening, helping create a more comfortable environment for our players.
Most importantly, we respect that every family knows what is best for their child. If a parent chooses to keep their player home due to the heat, we fully support that decision. No questions asked.
