As we approach the end of the year many people are looking for non profit organizations to make their year end tax write off donation to. We at Operation Silver Star would like to encourage you to check out our website and hopefully you will consider donating to us. We work very hard to meet the needs of those who have sacrificed so very much for our freedoms, however we cannot do this without your help.
During this time of year we experience a much larger amount of requests for assistance. Many of the requests come in at the last minute because most if not all who are requesting just don't like asking for help. We as a family of 3 combat veterans, one being severely injured, understand how difficult it is to reach out. It is because of what we experienced that we do our best to help meet the needs of those calling in.

We would like to thank everyone that donated and helped with our annual Christmas Party for military families. We had a wonderful time and it was a beautiful sight to see all the little faces of the children in attendance light up as Santa walked in.

A great big thank you to Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, Zachary Bach, Karmen Hernandez, Amy Hernandez, Debra Jones, Liz Alagao and the Jacobs family for all your help with this event.

We would like to thank Milvet and Riverside CHP for your toy donations as well as the many veterans and families that donated.

One of our first toy donations came in today from a Veteran and his wife. We are very grateful for all donations that come to us. Many times our Veterans the first to give back.

With the Holidays coming upon us we are hoping to give Thanksgiving dinner to approximately 30 elderly veterans. We are asking for donations to help make this possible. The cost to feed each Veteran is about $15 each. Your donation is greatly needed and appreciated. You may donate on our website @
