Update: We have had a few parents step forward who have said they’re willing to be on the PTA Board for next year. Therefore, we will host an additional election to allow them the chance to be elected. PTA rules state that we must provide 30 day written notice of any election. Therefore, we will hold the election on June 29th at 6pm on Zoom (link will be sent out at a later date). We realize it is in the summer but hope that we can just get enough people to meet quorum (11 people) to allow this new board to be elected.
If we cannot make it happen on 6/29, here is what will happen. Our current board ends their term on 6/30. Stewardship for the Mesa View PTA is then turned over to a representative from the 23rd district of PTA. They will then attempt to elect a new board in the Fall. If they are unsuccessful by November, they will begin the process of shutting things down and they will take care of any remaining assets (funds and materials). As of now, all materials will remain at a Mesa View.
Let’s come together and support these volunteers who have come forward to form a new board. We are grateful for their willingness to serve our school community!
