Join us for a day of biblical teaching, worship, fellowship, and encouragement as Amber Michael, author of Heart Aligned: God's Work in the Hidden Places, walks us through the Book of James.

Together we'll discover how God's Word transforms our hearts and shapes our daily lives as we seek to faithfully follow Christ.

Introducing our Conference Speaker Amber Michael

Amber is a devoted wife, proud mom of two boys, and lover of the Lord. She and her husband, Kyle, have been married 26 years. She is the former owner of Bravo Dance Center, leaving there to teach in the Theater Department at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia.

Amber carries her faith into the world by using every setting as a ministry opportunity. She answered the call of God to teach the Bible through her dance studio and began meeting with teenage girls following their dance class each week. That grew into a home Bible study, hosting 30+ students every Sunday night. In 2024, she launched a women’s collegiate Bible study at SAU, teaching the Word to anyone who desired to learn.

Last fall, she served as teaching leader for Joy Community Bible Study and has just written the book Heart Aligned: God’s Work in the Hidden Places. Her book is a resource for digging deep into the book of James and allowing the heart to be transformed.

Currently, Amber serves Arkansas Baptists in the role of Network Leader for Women’s Ministry in South Arkansas. She is passionate about servanthood and obedience to God’s call in the lives of women. Amber considers herself first and foremost a student, as she desperately seeks to learn more about the God she serves and loves.

We are delighted to welcome special guest speaker Amber Michael, author of Heart Aligned: God’s Work in the Hidden Places.

Together, we will spend the day opening God’s Word and walking through the book of James, discovering how God works in the heart to produce faith, wisdom, humility, obedience, and wholehearted devotion to Christ.

The book of James reminds us that true transformation is not merely about outward behavior. Our words, our responses to trials, our priorities, and our actions all reveal what is happening within. As we study this practical and powerful book together, our prayer is that God would draw us nearer to Himself through His Word.
