Emmanuel Center's vision is that all children will have equitable access and opportunity for success in life. Emmanuel Center offers the Emmanuel Academy After-School program and Camp HOPE summer camp to children who live in the 38126 zip code.

Happy Juneteenth! 💚💛❤️ Today our campers learned about the history and importance of Juneteenth. Through fun activities, games, and meaningful conversations, they were reminded that knowing our history helps shape our future.

Camp Explore 2026 is officially underway!

What a great start to summer camp! This week our campers have jumped right into worship, games, crafts, new friendships, and learning that God sees, knows, and loves each one of them. Our Week 1 theme is “I Belong Here” based on Genesis 16:13. Campers are discovering that they are valued, important, and never forgotten by God.

We were also excited to welcome volunteers from .georgeschurch.gtown St. George’s Episcopal Church Youth Group, who spent time serving, encouraging, and building relationships with our campers. Thank you for helping make the first day of camp so special! At Emmanuel Center, children have a safe place to learn, grow, have fun, and be surrounded by caring adults all summer long.

We are grateful for our partnership with students from Hutchison School who have spent time with our middle and high school girls over the past few months.

Each visit included thoughtful presentations, open conversations, and fun activities like bracelet making, painting, and self care crafts. These moments create space for confidence building, creativity, and connection. We also love that some of our younger students get to join in on the arts and crafts as well.

Thank you Hutchison School for sharing your time, leadership, and heart with our students. 💜

February is Black History Month, and our students have been learning about leaders who shaped history and changed the world.
