The mission of the S.A.M. and D.I.M.E. Programs is to provide positive role models for the purpose of building strong and committed relationships, improving academic success, self-esteem and social competency.

Purpose
We strive to improve the less fortunate, or at-risk youth, ages 8-22, in our community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their personal potential and become productive citizens.

In a collaborative effort, MISR Temple No.213 S.A.M. and MISR Court No. 193 D.I.M.E. worked with Missions of Love in Prince George County to deliver Easter baskets to local children. The event aimed to instill a sense of community responsibility and promote youth involvement in charitable activities. Through their participation, young individuals can learn valuable lessons about giving back and making a positive impact. Pia Cottontail attended the event, which served as a platform for mentoring and guiding young people.

For Golconda’s S.A.M.’s Program (Shriners As Mentors), we partnered with DCH Montclair Acura and brought a new 2026 Acura Integra Type S to Hawthorne Avenue School in Newark for their Career Day. We showed the vehicle and expressed the need for trained technicians in the automotive field as a career. Over 250 students came and sat in the vehicle, and I think we definitely sparked interest in automotive repair and the financial aspect of purchasing a vehicle.

Thank you, Principal H. Grady James IV and the faculty at Hawthorne Avenue School for having us, and Jay Jaber, General Manager at DCH Montclair Acura, for lending the vehicle and speaking to the children.

**Impactful Moment**
A young student, possibly 2nd or 3rd grade, pulled on my jacket. As I leaned down to him, he asked me, “Are you a Billionaire?” I had to hold my composure cause I tear up on sentimental moments and THIS WAS ONE!🥹 I told him, “Not yet, but I’m on my way, and we are here to make sure you have the tools to be better than us.”

Al Tariq Temple and Al Tariq Court....🌸 What an AMAZING day of fun, laughter, and community! 🌸🐣. From little feet running across the field to baskets filling up with colorful eggs 🧺🥚—today was nothing short of magical! 💛. Seeing the smiles, the excitement, and the joy on every child’s face reminded us what it’s all about… togetherness, love, and creating memories that last forever.

✨ The energy was high
✨ The vibes were unmatched
✨ And the memories? Absolutely priceless
