When we talk about it taking a village to fulfill our mission of No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in our Town, we mean that literally! We have been so blessed to receive donations of beautiful handmade quilts that we provide for the kids when we deliver their beds and mattresses. This quilt really fit the bill for a child we delivered to, it turns out it was his birthday and he was a huge Iron Man Fan (we didn't know)! It made him so happy and made our day to get this wonderful quilt to him! And a special appreciation to the beautiful new Wyndham Garden Hotel in Anna who donated dozens of new white sheets that we gave to our quilting clubs to use as backing for their quilts!

A huge Thank You to Lamar Bank for sponsoring and joining with us to build 20 beds for our local children. We had a great time and it didn't rain on us!! (It threatened!!) They're here! What a blessing! We received 100 beds and mattresses courtesy of Lowes and Sleep in Heavenly Peace from their massive 10,000 bed build in North Carolina a couple of weeks ago. Lowes Corporation sponsored the huge build and Lowes McKinney provided a delivery site and manpower to accept the beds and truck them to our storage in Anna! It really takes a village and what a wonderful way for us to receive these beds! We have them in storage now and are looking for delivery help to get these beds out to our Local Kids to make sure No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!! We are also needing twin, new bedding for these beds as when we deliver, we provide that child a bed, mattress, pillow, sheet sets and comforter or quilt. So if you want to help deliver or have a company or organization to use as a donation site to collect bedding please give us a call!

We wanted to share how wonderful it is to be part of such a heart-led organization that makes such a positive and tangible impact on a child's life. Sleep in Heavenly Peace, TX-Melissa (we serve Anna, Melissa and McKinney) has received 100 beds and mattresses from the massive bed build that was held in Charlotte NC this week where they built 10,000 beds!! In 24 hours!
We really appreciate Lowes McKinney for accepting delivery of the beds and mattresses and delivering them to us in Anna, they have been a blessing for us! Now the works begins! Currently we have about 120 beds all ready (including mattresses and all bedding) to be delivered to local children at no cost to the families and we are going through applications to set up the deliveries. This takes a village and if you also want to participate in this life-changing story please message and let me know or go to:

Saturday, April 11, Lamar Bank Anna, TX SHP Bed Build!!
It was an overcast, cool day but our enthusiastic and hard-working volunteers were eager to build beds for our local kids and went to work, they built 20 beds that we will be delivering soon!! We want to thank the Larmar Bank volunteers, Randy and Natasha with Lamar and our SHP Team for a great experience! (Drone footage from the bed build below)
