This holiday season, our Cars for Christmas campaign delivered one final surprise to a dedicated family rebuilding their lives.

Israel, his wife, and their young son have faced tough challenges with only one vehicle and a single income. Reliable transportation for work was a constant struggle, holding them back from getting ahead.

Enter this cute little Fiat that was recently donated to us. It was the ideal commuter car for Israel. Compact, fuel-efficient, it gives him the freedom to get to jobs while the family keeps their main vehicle for mom to get to work and little man to school. This car mean less stress and more opportunity to thrive.

The giveaway was so much fun, the giant red bow, the sunroof waves, big smiles, heartfelt hugs, and happy tears as the keys were handed over.

This isn’t just a car—it’s independence and hope. Thank you to our donors, volunteers, and partners for making it possible.

Their mission: to help families with children experiencing homelessness achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.

Reliable transportation is critical — it keeps parents working, kids in school, and families moving toward stability without setbacks derailing their progress.

As our continued, we had the honor of placing another vehicle where it was truly needed.

Diana is a single mama who works hard, shows up with quiet determination, and keeps taking the next right step even when the road has been long. Watching her has been inspiring.

In this season of rebuilding, she now has a dependable vehicle and we’ll walk alongside her in the year ahead, caring for it and for her so she can focus on providing, pursuing her goals, and trusting the Lord is for her.

For three long years, this single dad and his three boys have faced life without a car. Every errand, every appointment, every moment of daily life was a struggle. Yet through it all, he never gave up. He worked hard, stayed committed, and kept pressing forward for his family.

On Friday, that changed. With the help of our donors, technicians, and community partners, we placed the keys to a vehicle in his hands — a car big enough to carry his boys, strong enough to carry their hope.

But this gift didn’t end with a car. For the next year, every service and repair is fully covered. Because blessings should never become burdens. Our promise is to keep this dad and his three boys moving forward with confidence, knowing their vehicle will be cared for.

Watching his sons climb in, smiling and waving, was a reminder of why we do this: restoring hope one car, one family, one future at a time.

Thank you to everyone who makes these moments possible. Together, we are God’s hands and feet, serving families in need and proving that hope rides again.

Your old car could be someone’s new beginning.

At Helping Hands with Helping Hearts, we do more than accept car donations — we repair them and give them away to families who have no transportation.

Imagine being a family or single mom with no way to get to work, take your kids to school, or buy groceries. That’s the reality for many in our community. But your unused car could change that.

✅ We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
✅ We fix donated vehicles ourselves
✅ We give them directly to families in need
