Carla Norton is a best-selling true crime writer and an award-winning novelist. Her true crime thriller, PERFECT VICTIM, tells a shocking story of kidnapping and captivity. That book, which she co-authored with the prosecutor, became a #1 New York Times bestseller and was put on the reading list for the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit. That extraordinary true story fuels her fiction, which feature Reeve LeClaire, a damaged-but-fierce survivor of kidnapping. The latest news is that Carla’s novel, THE EDGE OF NORMAL, has been adapted to film. The movie, titled FOUND ALIVE, stars Chloe Grace-Mortez as Reeve and Rupert Friend as her psychiatrist. Come to the Melbourne Beach Library on November 10th at 6 p.m. to hear Carla Norton’s talk about fiction, nonfiction, the movie, and her ‘writer’s journey’ from aspiration to publication.

A message from the Friends of the Melbourne Beach Public Library Board:

Amendment 3 is not just a tax issue. It is a local library issue.

Florida libraries depend on stable local funding to stay open, staffed, stocked, connected, and available to the public. If Amendment 3 passes, communities across Florida could face pressure to cut library hours, staffing, books and digital materials, children’s programs, access to tech, outreach, meeting rooms, and even branches.

Voters deserve to understand what is at stake before Election Day.
