🐴 A Little Update on Prince 🐴

Our beautiful boy, Prince, made the trip to Oak Ridge Veterinary for a lameness evaluation. What we thought and hoped might be a simple visit turned into nearly four hours of testing, exams, and diagnostics as the team worked carefully to find the source of his discomfort.

After a thorough workup, Prince received injections in his hock, and we learned that he is dealing with some bone-on-bone changes that have been causing him significant pain. While it’s never easy to hear that one of our animals is hurting, we are grateful to finally have some answers and a plan to help keep him more comfortable.

We want to give a huge thank you to the veterinarians, assistants, and interns at Oak Ridge. Their compassion, patience, and attention to detail are truly remarkable. They took such wonderful care of our sweet boy, and we couldn’t be more thankful.

As many of you know, caring for rescue animals often comes with significant veterinary expenses this visit was approximately $1,200, and it is just one of many vet bills we face as we work to ensure our animals live happy, comfortable, and pain-free lives.

Through it all, Prince was an absolute gentleman. ❤️ One of the sweetest moments of the day was watching him discover his reflection in the window. He kept nuzzling and admiring himself, and it gave us all a much-needed smile. He handled every test and procedure like a champion.

Prince, we love you so much. Thank you for trusting us to care for you.

If you ever feel led to support the work we do here at Singing Grace Ranch, donations are always appreciated and go directly toward the care of animals like Prince. Whether through donations, shares, prayers, or words of encouragement, your support means more than you know.

Thank you for standing beside us and helping us give these animals the care they deserve. ❤️🐴

In case y’all were wondering…. We have the boys together! Not one fight and they are becoming fast friends. We are so thankful how well it has gone as putting pigs together can be quite scary when establishing who is boss. I thought it would be Rudy but Tito’s shear excitement scared Rudy at first but we took it slow and now they are even sharing Rudy’s “hut” could they be ANY cuter?! 💞

Hi everyone! We are in desperate need of some strong volunteers to work on a project at our ranch house. It’s manual labor but does not require a skill set other than digging and moving dirt! We are even willing to pay out of our personal money to get this done and done quickly. We are on a time crunch. Please comment, text, or pm me if you can help 💛💛💛

Rescue isn’t always about rescuing. Sometimes, it’s about helping people find the perfect place for the horses they love so deeply. ❤️ This was not an overnight process, took some time and prayers finding the best homes, but what a wonderful afternoon spent making new friends and seeing old ones!

This situation was a little different than what we normally do here at Singing Grace Ranch, but we were incredibly honored to be trusted to help place three precious horses into two wonderful forever homes.

Two horses that were very bonded were able to stay together and went home with the sweetest 16-year-old girl for her very first horses. The excitement, joy, and love she has for them is something truly special to witness.

The third horse went to an amazing couple who recently lost their beloved horse over the winter. Their gelding has been alone since that loss, and now he will have a new friend and companion again.

These moments remind us that rescue work is not always about saving animals from terrible situations. Sometimes it’s about love, trust, compassion, and helping make sure animals continue to be cherished exactly as they deserve.

We are beyond grateful for the faith and trust placed in us to help with these placements, and we truly could not be happier with the loving forever homes these horses now have. They will be treasured and adored just as they were by their original owners. ❤️
*disclaimer- these horses were purchased for $1.00 each to make the transfer of ownership a legal contract, we do NOT help sell horses, only find forever homes, this is donated time by myself through our mission of rescuing and placing animals in forever homes*

One week ago today, we said goodbye to our sweet Zoie. 💔

To be honest, it has been tremendously difficult for both Scotty and I. The quiet moments feel different now, and there’s a piece of our hearts that will always ache for her presence. She was so deeply loved, not just by us, but by so many of you and every rescue animal that came through our doors.

But as we do here at Singing Grace Ranch, we keep on keeping on.

The animals still need us. The ranch still moves forward. And most importantly, the children, riders, and all of the special, wonderful people who come here continue to remind us why we do this every single day.

Getting to see the smiles on these kids’ faces during their sessions this week has helped keep me going more than I can explain. Watching them grow in confidence, joy, and connection with the animals is truly healing in the middle of heartbreak.

We are so proud of each and every one of our riders this week, and we’re looking forward to more beautiful sessions tomorrow.

Thank you all for continuing to love us, support us, and walk beside us through both the joy and the sorrow. We love you all so much. ❤️

Our Sweet Zoie ❤️

Yesterday morning, we had to say goodbye to our beautiful girl.

We are so incredibly grateful to Dr. Rose, who came to our home and helped her pass peacefully… right where she loved to be most—laying in our bed, surrounded by love. It was gentle. It was quiet. And it was everything we could have hoped for in such a heartbreaking moment.

After losing Oliver, I knew deep in my heart that Zoie wouldn’t be far behind him. And even knowing that… nothing prepares you for the moment it actually happens.

Over the last couple of days, Zoie lost almost all mobility in her back legs. We did everything we could to support her, to lift her, to comfort her… but her body was tired. Her spirit, though—that never faded. She was still her. Still strong. Still loving. But as her body began to shut down, she started to become distressed, and we knew it was time to give her peace.

Scotty and I are absolutely devastated. There’s just no way around it.

So many of you loved Zoie just like you loved Oliver. They were a pair—our hearts outside our bodies—and we know this loss is felt far beyond just our home.

Zoie was more than just our dog. She was a nurturer to every single rescue that came through our doors. She took babies in as if they were her own. She was gentle, patient, and full of a quiet kind of love that made everything feel safe.

She was my ride or die. From eight weeks old, she was by my side through everything. Every mile. Every moment.

Fifteen years was not enough time with a soul like hers.

There will forever be a space in our hearts that only Zoie can fill… and it will never be the same without her.

We are so sorry for your loss too. We know she was deeply loved by so many of you.

Run free, sweet girl. Go find Oliver. 💞

Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming Beau to the ranch. 💛

Beau is 5 years old and lives with autism, epilepsy, and a rare SCN4A gene mutation—something only about 1 in 100,000 people have. And let us tell you… this little boy is absolutely full of light and love.

From the moment he arrived, there was something special in the air. Beau got to meet the animals, take in the sights and sounds, and explore the arena where his journey with us will begin. And just as we’ve seen time and time again… the animals knew. They were drawn to him and his incredible parents in the sweetest, most gentle way. It was truly beautiful to witness.

We are so excited to welcome Beau and his family as they become part of the magic that happens here at Singing Grace Ranch. ✨

We cannot wait to watch his journey unfold.

Welcome to the ranch, Beau. You are already so loved. 🐴💫
