Chartered in 1982 as part of a network of 1.4M members worldwide, the Medway Lions Club funds eye research and charitable efforts locally and globally.

The Medway Lions Club is a civic-minded group of men and women who have historically demonstrated compassion and concern for others and a willingness to contribute to the community. Medway Lions are part of the largest service organization in the world, serving people both in their communities and over 210 countries. Our motto is "WE SERVE". Internationally since 1917, Lions and Leos are service-minded men and women who are global leaders and humanitarians in five focus areas: hunger, pediatric cancer, diabetes, vision, and the environment.

We are honored to announce our Lion of the Year is Dennis A.

Each year the Medway Lions selects a recipient for **Lion of the Year**. This award is given to a Lion who goes above and beyond and exemplifies a true commitment of service to others.

Dennis has initiated projects to support our annual Christmas tree event, helped sort bottles and cans, and steps in whenever an extra hand is needed.

Dennis is also stepping up to serve as our **Club President** this year, and we are grateful for his continued dedication to the Medway Lions and our community.

Congratulations, Dennis, and thank you for all that you do! 👏🦁

International White Cane Day

We recognize International White Cane Day annually on October 15th, to give Lions an opportunity to increase awareness of the white cane and associated pedestrian traffic safety laws.

One way YOU can help the Lions is by popping by CVS in Medway to donate your old eye glasses. Your glasses are brought to Lions volunteers to get cleaned, sorted by prescription strength, and packaged for distribution abroad, where they will have the greatest impact.

Knights of the Blind

When Helen Keller called on the Lions to become the Knights of the Blind, the Lions boldly answered that call. More than 544 million people have been impacted by vision service projects thanks to SightFirst Grants, and Lions continue to serve the blind and visually impaired.
