This special memory recently appeared in our feed, and we wanted to share it again. Five years ago, we had the honor of recognizing the Trueblood family for their generous support and donations to Friends of Smyth Chapel. Their faithful encouragement and continued support each year mean so much to our organization.

Through the generosity of the Truebloods and the ongoing support of our local community, we have made tremendous progress toward fulfilling our vision for Smyth Chapel. From the very beginning, our goal has been to create a welcoming place where friends, families, and neighbors can gather for meaningful moments and memorable events.

Whether celebrating life’s special occasions, hosting weekly or monthly meetings, or enjoying concerts, holiday markets, and community events, Friends of Smyth Chapel is committed to bringing people together in our beautiful and historic building. We proudly honor the rich history and mission of Smyth Chapel while looking ahead to a vibrant future shared with all of you.

Some of us have been under the weather and failed to post our pictures from our wonderful, Annual Sunrise Service. This year due to rain, our service was held inside. The Rev. David St. Clair and current President of Friends of Smyth Chapel led our service and David and Ann Ledgerwood provided music. Afterwards a light breakfast was shared by all.

Thanks so much again to the guys from Beta Lambda Zeta fraternity at E & H! Saturday morning bright and early, they picked up roadside litter on Smyth Chapel Road and cleaned up lots of tree branches and brush from the chapel grounds. Outstanding bunch of young men!

Come be with us on Easter for our Sunrise Service. Rain location will be inside. Light breakfast to follow.
