Meet Flash! 🐾 Your Gentle, Shy, and Loving Companion
Flash is a handsome 1-year-old Lab/Husky mix looking for a family who has the time, patience, and love to help him thrive. This sweet boy is gentle and a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a little time, let him approach you at his own pace, and offer a few treats, and he’ll begin to warm up within hours.
Flash is great with his family’s toddler and young child, and he has done well with his extended family’s three dogs. With new canine friends, slow, proper introductions to calm, laid-back dogs are recommended.
This young pup is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He loves playing with his toys, but he has a special weakness for socks! His future family will want to keep those socks picked up and out of reach.
Flash’s family loves him, but with both adults working full time, they feel he deserves a home where he can enjoy more companionship, attention, and quality time with his people.
Flash’s ideal home:
• A loving family who can spend plenty of time with him.
• A securely fenced yard where he can safely play and explore.
• People who will be patient as he settles in and builds trust.
• A family willing to introduce him gradually to any resident dogs.

Meet Ollie! 🐾
Ollie is a sweet 7-year-old, 70-pound neutered Labrador mix looking for a loving new home. He is friendly with people of all ages and would be a wonderful companion for a family with children or retirees looking for a loyal four-legged friend.
Ollie eats dry kibble twice a day and loves water activities, so he would be thrilled to find a home where he can enjoy splashing, swimming, and spending time with his people.

Moma and her Texas 8 puppies

MAMA’S STORY
She was found curled up alone in the middle of a Texas oil field.
At least two miles from the nearest home or structure, Mama had no food, no water, no collar and no one coming for her. She was emaciated, covered in fleas, and so thin that her ribs, spine and hip bones showed through her skin.
She had been dumped in the middle of nowhere and left to survive.
We gave her water, got her into the truck and took her straight to the veterinarian. She was malnourished and suffering from fleas, worms and other parasites. She was treated, fed, loved and finally safe.
Then we learned something we never expected: Mama was pregnant.
Despite everything she had endured, she carried and cared for eight beautiful puppies. Through it all, she remained one of the sweetest dogs imaginable: gentle, loving, alert and devoted to her babies.
Moma has a happy ending and has been adopted – we need your help to fine her puppies their forever home.
All will have age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming and be microchipped before adoption. Adoption application, screening, and adoption contract are required.
An adoption fee applies, and adopters will be required to complete his/her neuter/spay when age-appropriate.
Please help us find homes for Brave, Dixie, Brownie, Beethoven, Oreo, Chunky Monkey, Panda, and Squishy to give them their happy ending too.

Meet Panda Female
Panda is a beautiful little girl with delicate features, a cute brown patch around one eye, and a very bright, alert personality. She’s sweet and affectionate, but she’s also curious, busy, and always paying attention to what’s going on around her.

Panda is one of the more active, working-dog-type puppies in the litter. She loves to investigate everything, notices every little sound or movement, and isn’t shy about barking to let you know when something catches her attention. She has the makings of a very devoted, watchful companion, but she’ll need a patient adopter who will provide kind, consistent training, plenty of exercise, and mental stimulation so all that intelligence and energy are directed in a positive way.

She is very sweet and loving and will thrive with someone who enjoys an engaged, active dog and is willing to put in the time to help her grow into a well-mannered adult.

Meet Squishy Male
Squishy is the smallest puppy in the litter, but he has absolutely no idea he’s little. He’s an adorable, super-sweet boy who loves being held and petted, then happily jumps right back into rough-and-tumble play with his siblings.

Squishy got his name because, as a tiny puppy, he was always “squishing” himself into the coziest little spots — tucked into a corner, at the bottom of a puppy pile, or pressed up behind his mama. He seemed to love feeling snug and surrounded, and the name stuck. He knows his name and responds to it.

He is affectionate and cuddly, but also playful, tough, and rambunctious. He loves toys, loves playing with his siblings, and doesn’t let his smaller size slow him down at all. He also has unique markings unlike any of the other puppies in the litter and may have some cattle/herding-dog ancestry, although his breed mix is not confirmed.

Meet Oreo Female
Oreo is a beautiful, long-legged girl with striking markings, floppy ears, two little black dots on her nose, and a long tail that curls almost into a circle. She’s smart, active, affectionate, and full of personality.

Oreo is curious and adventurous and is often the one exploring, digging, and finding something new to investigate. She gets along well with her siblings but is confident and doesn’t let them push her around. Underneath all that playful energy, she is incredibly sweet and cuddly and loves to rest her head on your shoulder and snuggle.

Because Oreo is so intelligent and active, she will do best with a patient adopter who will provide calm, consistent, kind training and plenty of appropriate activity and engagement. We believe she may be a Great Pyrenees/Great Dane mix, possibly with English Setter, although her breed mix is not confirmed.

Meet Chunky Monkey Female
Chunky Monkey is a strong, confident little girl with a big personality packed into an adorable puppy. She earned her name because she was such a stocky little powerhouse as a baby, and somehow she seems to know it — say “Chunky Monkey” and she practically lights up.
She’s not actually chunky anymore, but she is still one tough, sturdy little girl. She loves playing with her brothers and sisters, enjoys a good rough-and-tumble play session, and definitely doesn’t let anyone push her around. She’s confident, playful, fun, and full of character. She also has a sweet little brown spot on the side of her face that can be hard to see in photos but makes her even more distinctive.

Chunky Monkey would do well with someone who enjoys an active, confident puppy and will give her kind, consistent training and plenty of appropriate play and activity.

Meet Brownie Male

Brownie is a beautiful, blue-eyed boy with a softer, slightly more reserved personality and a gorgeous medium-length coat. He’s the biggest puppy in the litter, with big paws, striking markings, and a sweet nature that is coming out more every day.

Brownie can be a little shy at first and will sometimes choose to sleep just off to the side of the puppy pile, but once playtime starts, he is all in. He loves to run, wrestle, dig, and play hard with his siblings. He’s smart, playful, wiggly, and becoming more affectionate and comfortable with being petted and handled.

His markings suggest there may be some Australian Shepherd in his mix, although his breed is not confirmed. With his size, large paws, blue eyes, and medium-to-long coat, Brownie is likely to grow into a very handsome, substantial dog.

Meet Beethoven Male — Adoption Pending
Beethoven is a very sweet, engaging boy with great eye contact and a smart, eager-to-learn personality. He loves people, toys, and playing with his brothers and sisters. Beethoven currently has an adoption pending, but see below for more information in case he becomes available.

Beethoven is one of the two longer-haired puppies in the litter and has a soft, handsome coat. He is bright and attentive and has already started learning to walk on a leash and is making progress with crate training. He loves to play, enjoys his toys, and is very interactive with people. He’s not quite convinced that water is fun yet, but we’re working on it!

Beethoven is affectionate, intelligent, and eager to learn, and he should thrive with continued patient, positive training and plenty of play and engagement.

Meet Brave Male
Brave is the happiest little guy with a sweet, loving personality and the most soulful, expressive eyes. He’s affectionate, smart, loves to be held, and already knows his name.

Brave gets along wonderfully with all of his brothers and sisters and is very engaging with people. He has an easygoing, happy personality and would make a wonderful, devoted family companion.

Meet Dixie Female
Dixie is a beautiful, sweet girl with striking tan-and-white markings and a gentle, sensitive personality. She loves being held and curling up in your lap. See below for more information about Dixie and our adoption process.

Dixie gets along well with her brothers and sisters and enjoys playing with them, but she can be a little shy and prefers not to be overwhelmed by more rambunctious puppies. She has enjoyed having her own crate and is doing well learning to be crate trained. Dixie will do best with someone patient who appreciates her softer nature, and she may be happiest as the only dog or with a calm, respectful companion.

Hey Everyone, don't forget tomorrow is the Lacamas Valley Ranch Barnyard sale!! Address is 3902 288th St S. Roy WA 98580
June 13th from 10am to 3pm. There will be lots of things to check out.
Second Chance Dogs will be under our big Canopy so you can't miss us. We have all sorts of things from bird cages, to saddles and lots of things in between. All proceeds from our sales will be donated to SCD. SCD covers all expenses for our dogs, including Vet visits, medication, rehab, surgeries and all supplies to keep them safe, comfortable and happy.
Also we will be having a raffle for a loaded basket for you pup(s), a $50 Tractor Supply gift card, and a $50 Starbucks card. You don't have to be present to win, we will call you and meet up if your the lucky winner(s).
If your interested in being a foster parent we will have sign up sheets available as well.
Come for all the interesting things and stop and say hi to us too!!
