We will collect non-perishable food for the Highland County Food Pantry.
We will collect clothing and jewelry for Twice is Nice, which is especially in need of infant clothing.
We will be collected shoes for Shoes for Kenya to help provide income for women in that country.
We will collect used batteries for recycling.

It’s easy to criticize from a distance. It’s harder... and holier... to choose compassion, humility, and service instead. Jesus didn’t spend His life throwing stones at broken people. He knelt beside them, loved them, and washed their feet. 🙌

May we become people who lead with grace more than judgment, mercy more than pride, and love more than criticism. If your soul needs encouragement and peace, our devotionals and calming worship playlists are designed to help you reconnect with God through scripture, prayer, worship, and mindful reflection each day. And if this ministry has encouraged you, monthly giving helps us continue creating daily faith-filled content, devotionals, worship, and peaceful resources for hearts around the world. Everything is linked in bio on our page. 💕

McDowell Presbyterian Church is in a transition phase, and we need our members’ participation as we plan to move forward! Please join us for lunch and a discussion facilitated by Rev. Dr. Nancy Meehan Yao from Shenandoah Presbytery on June 2.
We will have sandwiches and salad starting at 11:30 am. We will provide information, collect your input, and field questions until 1:30 pm.
Things to consider and be prepared to discuss as we learn and grow during this developmental time:
Heritage- Who are we?
Mission- What informs our core vision and values?
Connections - What relationships do we value?
Leadership- How is our leadership organized?
Future- What informs how we move forward?
Sustainability- What does sustainability look like?
Leadership- Given what we know/are discerning about ourselves, our community, and the ways that God is calling us, what kind of/style of/amount of leadership will we be thinking about?
Path- What will the path forward look like? timeline, steps, etc.
Please call session clerk Tammy Minnigh for more information at 540-396-3418 or email [email protected]. If you can’t come, please reach out and share your thoughts.
