Looking for something to do on the 4th of JULY Weekend? Percy Quin Park and Pike Baptists can connect together to show love from churches to campers and our community! There will be fireworks, food, crafts, games, something for kids & adults of all ages…

🇺🇸 Pike Baptist Association/Churches are invited to participate & celebrate together on the 4th of JULY at Percy Quin Park. We will provide cold Lemonade & Bottled Water at the CHAPEL beginning at NOON until 2:00pm on Saturday, JULY 4th. Pike Baptist Association/Church volunteers can mix/mingle & pray with people coming by the Chapel. There was also a need & request by the park staff to help with greeting/directing people to parking spots by the Park Boat Docks.

Here is an UPDATE TO EVENT DETAILS:

This year is a patriotic carnival theme with rides, games, food vendors, and craft vendors, Friday/JULY 3rd from 3pm-8pm and Saturday/JULY 4th from 12pm-9pm ending with a firework show from 9pm-9:30pm🎇 There will be a $5 gate entry day-use fee at Percy Quin. Arm bands for Carnival rides are $15.

Pike Baptist Association / Church volunteers can come & go or stay as long as you would like to celebrate the 4th with campers and our community. You might wear a church t-shirt, cap, or an association patriotic t-shirt if you have it.

If anyone can take a shift to help in the parking lot spaces by the Park Boat Docks to greet and point people where to park, please contact Percy Quin Park to give them your name & t-shirt size; they will have them available for parking lot volunteers and can get more details when times will be needed: 601-684-3938.

SBC Meeting Update & Follow-up Stats:

The 2026 SBC Annual Meeting & Pastors' Conference is in the books, and the numbers tell a story worth repeating: 21,144 attendees, including 11,692 messengers, 5,785 guests, and 3,667 exhibitors. That's a lot of Southern Baptists in one room, praying & involved in Kingdom work together.

I hope you will pray for and engage with our cooperative work to reach our communities and world for Christ! -Steve

Mission Partnership Project / Trip to Houston, TX to help with the Gano Mission Center/Mission Centers of Houston…
JUNE 28th - JULY 2nd, 2026

Plans will be to leave Sunday afternoon, June 28th by 1:30pm, (meet at the Pike Baptist Association Office/Missions Center) and to get back before dark, July 2nd. COST: $300 plus pack favorite snacks to share. •Southern Baptist Churches have now had 5 years in a row an increase in Baptisms!
•More than 2 million people heard the gospel among the Nations!
•IMB Stats reported nearly 200,000 people professed faith in Christ!
•Missionary teams and partners planted 7,697 new churches among the nations!
•Gospel work was carried out among 2,358 different people groups!
•More than 150 countries experienced Southern Baptist missionary presence!
•IMB missionaries hosted 13,697 volunteers & mission partners! 🙌🙏

No church is perfect but God is. TRUTH can still be found in the Bible, God’s Word for us & all generations. Thankful for His forgiveness, grace & mercy❣️

Baptist Convention in Orlando, FL with thousands of Associational Leaders, State Directors/Staff and Pastors who could come today listening to NAMB President, Kevin Ezell and IMB President, Paul Chitwood, on mission together with over 47,000 SBC Churches! THANKS for the opportunity to be here and for what you do through our association family of churches. What we do matters! ✞☝️🙏
