➕ Encourage Peanut Consumption

Selected artwork will travel to public libraries across Florida this fall- helping connect communities with the story of modern agriculture through student creativity.

UF/IFAS names Barry Tillman Interim Center director of North Florida Research and Education Center - effective July 31, 2026. Tillman will lead research, extension and teaching programs across NFREC’s campuses in Quincy, Marianna and Live Oak. He will succeed Dean Pringle, who recently was appointed chair of the UF/IFAS Department of Animal Sciences. Tillman’s leadership will help advance ongoing research, strengthen community engagement and position NFREC to respond to emerging challenges facing agriculture and rural economies in North Florida. https://buff.ly/9Yal43L

Florida farmers faced a difficult year marked by freezes, wildfires, and other serious challenges.

In response, the Florida Legislature and Governor DeSantis delivered a budget that makes 2026 The Year of the Farmer.

In the days ahead, we look forward to sharing, as Paul Harvey would say, “the rest of the story” on what this budget means for Florida farmers.

Today, we simply say thank you.

As school lets out, many children lose access to regular meals they depend on during the school year. You can help us make summer a little easier for families in our community.

We’re collecting:

• Jelly
• Chips
• Loaves of sliced bread
