“Is my teen okay?”

It’s a question many parents quietly ask themselves.

Sometimes changes in mood or behavior are simply part of being a teenager. Other times, they’re signs that something deeper deserves our attention.

Our latest blog shares 7 signs parents shouldn’t ignore and what to do when your gut tells you something isn’t quite right.

Read more:

Every teenager has difficult days. Mood swings, changing friendships, emotional ups and downs, and a growing desire for independence are all part of adolescence. As parents, it can be difficult to know when those changes are simply part of growing up—and when they’re signs your teen may need mor...

Sometimes parenting comes down to one sentence: "I'm fine." or "Leave me alone."

Sometimes it's "You don't understand."

And what you say next can either open the door... or close it.

That's why we created What to Say When Your Teen Says... with simple, faith-centered responses to some of the things parents hear most.

You don't need the perfect answer. You just want your teen to know you're a safe place to come back to.

Screenshot this. Save it for later. And share it with another parent who might need it.

Put your brand behind hope 💙

Runway for Hope brings together an incredible community of business leaders, families, advocates and friends of House of Hope for an afternoon designed to celebrate courage, restoration and lives transformed.

And we’re inviting businesses and organizations to be part of it.

As a Runway for Hope sponsor, you’ll have the opportunity to put your organization in front of a community that cares deeply about strengthening families and investing in the next generation, while helping make the work behind the runway possible.

Your sponsorship helps House of Hope provide Christ-centered counseling, education, life-skills training and compassionate care for teens and families walking through some of life’s most difficult seasons.

Because when one of our young people steps onto that runway, we see more than a beautiful moment.

We see the courage it took to get there.

Join us October 16 at Rosen Shingle Creek and part of the incredible change that's happening in these young people's lives

Sponsorships begin at $1,250 and include a table for 10.

School. Sports. Friends. Expectations. Social media.

It's no wonder so many teens feel emotionally exhausted.

The good news? God never asked us to carry every burden on our own. Even Jesus modeled the importance of rest, and He invites us to find it in Him.

Take five minutes today. Read through this together, then send it to your teen or save it for the next time life feels overwhelming.

Because sometimes the most powerful reset isn't another productivity hack.
It's remembering where true rest is found.

Save this post. Share it with a teen who needs a reminder that it's okay to slow down.

Gone fishin'! 🎣

In today's world, so many of our young people are hooked on screens. At HOH, we want our teens to be hooked on lifelong hobbies. Especially those that build character!

At House of Hope, we believe in helping our teens learn different life-skills.... while also enjoying nature and having fun.

We are so blessed to have incredible staff who take our teens on various outings - including fishing. Fishing teaches our young people many life skills and character traits, such as patience, perseverance, critical thinking, respect, and how to handle leaving empty-handed.

Your teen's diet might be saying more than you think.

Chicken tenders. Fries. Pizza. Sound familiar?

While depression has many causes, certain vitamin deficiencies can contribute to fatigue, low mood, and other symptoms. It's one more reason to take a whole-person approach when your teen isn't acting like themselves.

Photos like these remind us just how thankful we are for Karla.

Leadership at House of Hope doesn't happen from behind a desk.

It looks like showing up. Listening. Praying. Celebrating victories. Walking through hard days. Grilling burgers. Laughing with our boys.

But most of all, loving them well.

While no one could ever fill Sara Trollinger's shoes, we can't help but smile knowing she chose Karla to carry this mission forward. Sara saw something special in her, and every day we're reminded that she was right.

Karla, thank you for loving these young men so faithfully.

Your impact reaches far beyond our campus, and we're so grateful God brought you to House of Hope.

Isaiah's words were written to people who were tired of waiting.

God's people were weary, discouraged, and wondering if He still saw them.

If you've ever felt that way as a parent, this promise is for you.

Keep praying for your teen. Keep trusting God. His strength never runs out...even when yours does.

Watch chemistry in action! 🧪✨

Our teens turned a basic science experiment into wearable art with tie-dye. From learning how molecules bond to rocking custom T-shirts, science has never looked this cool.

Who knew hands-on learning could be this much fun?!
