World Mental Health Day

Today, remind yourself: it’s okay to feel, to ask for help, to have hard days, and to begin again. You can be a masterpiece and a work in progress at the same time.

And remember… take a moment to check on someone you love. A little kindness can mean everything.

You never know when your kindness might become the reason someone finds the strength to keep going.

At Shrink Box, we believe no one should ever have to struggle in silence.

How young people see their bodies can shape far more than appearance—it can influence self-esteem, emotional well-being, eating behaviors, and overall mental health.

In her Shrink Box article, Emediong Idung explores the connection between body image and eating behaviors in children and adolescents, including the impact of social media, cultural expectations, family attitudes, peer pressure, and psychological health.

The message is an important one: helping young people build a healthier relationship with their bodies can also support a healthier relationship with food, confidence, and self-worth.

Acceptance matters. Language matters. Support matters.

Be curious, not judgmental.” — Ted Lasso 💛

A simple phrase with a powerful message: Instead of assuming, ask. Instead of criticizing, listen. Instead of judging someone’s behavior, try to understand their story.

You never know what someone is going through beneath the surface. Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can offer another person is not advice, but compassion, curiosity, and a safe space to be themselves.

Look beyond the behavior. Listen beyond the words. See the person beyond the cover.

Because everyone has a story worth understanding. 💚
