End stage kidney disease doesn't have to mean uncertainty—it means making informed choices. Knowing your treatment options can empower you or a loved one to take control of your health journey.

Too often, people aren't told about all of their options early enough. Often the first offer of treatment is in-center hemodialysis, However, peritoneal and home hemodialysis are options with better outcomes. Transplant is another great treatment option and a kidney from a living donor is best. Education matters. Advocacy matters. You matter.

We invite you to watch the attached episode of The Journey Continues podcast, where our member, Monica Fox and her daughter Olivia Fox speak candidly about their transplant and living donation journey.

Let's continue the conversation, raise awareness, and make sure no one navigates this journey alone.

Last weekend, hosted "Taste of Africa", an immersive cultural showcase as a part of their LEGO initiative. LEGO -- Links Eliminating Gaps through Opportunities -- is a free, year-long community program providing workshops, field trips, meals, and resources. Participants receive access to healthy food and learn about educational opportunities, careers, health and wellness, culture, and civic life. A collaboration between The Arts and International Trends & Services facets -- chaired by Nadine DeJohnette and Eileen Christmas, respectively -- the event was enlightening, educational, extraordinary ... and pleasing to the palate.
