Dear Potential College Awareness Day Participants,
On Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Project ACHIEVE will be hosting a College Awareness Day. We are seeking college alumni to speak to the Project ACHIEVE students about their student life experiences - the good, bad and ugly. In addition, we are seeking Greek Sorority and Fraternity members to participate and speak upon their experiences as a member, community service and scholarship opportunities.
In addition to your participation we ask, as an option, that alumni wear their college Alma mater or Greek organization’s apparel, as well as provide informational materials about your Alma mater or Greek organization. Because this will be a college fair style event, each alumnus will be seated at a table where Project ACHIEVE students will be visiting you to ask questions about your educational journey and career.
The purpose of this event is to engage Project ACHIEVE’s college bound students in a setting where information and guidance concerning higher education will be shared.
If you would like to participate, please forward the following information by email to [email protected] by February 22nd.
-First and Last Name
-Contact, Phone, Email, Address
-Name of Higher Education Alma Mater and year of graduation
- Name of Sorority or Fraternity organization
- Will you be providing recruitment material from your Alma Mater? Materials can be sent to my attention to the address below.
-Will you be providing information about scholarship opportunities offered by your Sorority or Fraternity?
The Project ACHIEVE Program is a college preparatory program that offers the ACT/Explore preparation, workshops, seminars and an annual Historically Black College & Universities Tour for students from the 7th to 12th grade.
Thank you in advance for your time and cooperation. We look forward to working with you. Should you have any questions, or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,
