Celebrate the 133rd Birthday of the 1893 Restored Genoa One Room School:

Step into a living history site as you enter the restored 1893 Genoa one room school classroom. A 4th grade student in an interactive, educational experience, social studies curriculum, half day. Programs for home schooled, scouts, youth groups and seniors. Supervised to read, research Perry Township History, photo/narrative volumes on original families, businesses.

Celebrate Johnny Appleseed‘s first footprints in Perry Township: Johnny Appleseed born in 1774-1845 planted apple trees on the J. Daum property located near the Genoa school. Read his story, do the crossword puzzle for a fun learning experience.

Self-Driving Barn Tour Brochure in Perry Township Drive by 12 historic barns.
Apple Pie and homemade apple butter will be available for purchase at the schoolhouse.

Tom Williams (Perry grad) author of, "Shot in the Mouth and Still Preaching" will be our speaker at our meeting August 17 @ 6pm at the Perry Police Dept lower level. Please join us for this interesting evening. Business meeting at 7.

Calling on some kids who would like to help clean out basement at the old 1893 one-room Genoa Schoolhouse. 539 Genoa Rd. Does anyone need service hours for scouts or church or school? We need some helpers Friday August 7 1230. Show up at schoolhouse, take the quick tour and help get the basement empty for the waterproofing company.

We are ready for company at the 1893 one-room Genoa Schoolhouse. Monday June 15. Tonight 6pm. Native Indian Tribes of Ohio. Refreshments and door prizes. See you!

The next meeting of the Perry History Club is Monday, June 15 at 6pm. Speaker will be Sandra Wristan. Her subject is Indian Tribes of Ohio. We meet at the old schoolhouse now - 539 Genoa Rd SW.
