Sometimes it takes an outside perspective to remind us just how special the place we call home really is. ❤️

Following our recent accreditation visit with Main Street America, we’re grateful to KGLO News for sharing a look at the progress, investment, and momentum happening in Downtown .

It can be easy to take for granted the amazing things right in our own backyard. But great places don’t just happen. They are built through years of placemaking, beautification, private and public investment, and, most importantly, the consistent vision, effort, dedication, and collaboration of residents, businesses, organizations, local government, volunteers, and community partners.

Since becoming an accredited Main Street community in 2004, Downtown Mason City has experienced an incredible transformation. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, grateful for everyone who has played a role in the journey, and excited about what’s ahead.
