Check out this great fundraiser happening at House of Him in Forest City this month! Shelby has been running this event since mid September and this cause is near to her heart, we love seeing our rural communities doing the work and spreading the word! Thank you so much and everyone else stop in and help her out!
In just under a week, you all have helped me raise over $200 for Domestic violence survivors!! These funds will be used to buy supplies for survivors and donated to the Winnebago County Attorneys office.
Your support amazes me!
My 33rd birthday is Mid November, and I’ll be accepting donations through October.
There are multiple ways to get into the drawing for THREE free haircuts:
1. Get a haircut before 10/31
2. Buy a House of Him hat ($50, all proceeds to donation)
3. Buy a product
4. Donate to the donation jar in the shop!

For my birthday this year, I’m fundraising for survivors of Domestic Violence.

I’m selling House of Him hats for $50 with all proceeds going towards donation. There will also be a jar for monetary donations. These funds will provide supplies to the survivors. Supplies such as: diapers, wipes, personal care items, shampoo, body wash, etc. as well as gift cards for groceries, gas, and anything else they need to get back on their feet.

House of Him is also doing a giveaway. Every donation is an entry, as well as every haircut and product purchase getting entered into a drawing to win:

3 free haircuts.

Why 3? According to the Iowa health and human services website, 1 in 3 women will experience intimate partner abuse.

These stats are on the rise. Between 2021-2024 DV rose over 52%. That’s 88 deaths in 3 years. 16 of these victims were under 5 years of age. Fi****ms were used in roughly 65% of these cases.

This cause is very important to me, as many of you know. My life mission is to ensure individuals know they are heard, believed, supported, and to help them through an extremely difficult time in their lives.
