🍂 Sunbonnet Garden Club Hosts Fall District Meeting 🍂

The Sunbonnet Garden Club had the honor of hosting the Fall District Meeting of the South Central Missouri District of the Missouri Federated Garden Clubs! 🌸

We enjoyed great food, crafts, fundraiser events, door prizes and a presentation on Monarch Butterflies. It was a wonderful chance to connect, share ideas, and celebrate our shared love of gardening. 🌿

A big thank you to everyone who joined us—we're already looking forward to the next gathering! 🌼

The Stargazer Garden Club has awarded the September Yard of the Month to the Miller family at 831 East Bedford, Marshfield. Despite the drought, Brittney has maintained her very own oasis. Her flower beds have many varieties of begonias, marigolds, sweet potato vine, crepe myrtle, petunias and her favorite elephant ears. This was a yard that caught the judges’ eyes because of the bright colors.
Judges for September were June Boone, Hannah Scarborough and Susan Scarborough. Judging will resume in Spring 2026. Congratulations to all of the 2025 winners.

The Stargazer Garden Club will meet on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 6pm at the Webster County Extension Center. We will have programs on blue and violet in your garden. Refreshments will match the program colors. Everyone is welcome. 🪻🫐🍇🍆

The Stargazer Garden Club of Marshfield awarded the August Yard of the Month to Wallay and Sue Smith at 1073 West Washington. The family has lived at this address for several years. The enormous dark pink hibiscus drew the attention of the judges. This well established yard also has many different kinds of yard art and cannas, petunias, crepe myrtle, dianthus, sedum, elephant ears, white hibiscus, silver mound, roses and many other flowers. Sue added a special spot in her tree with hen and chickens, other flowers and decorations in the place of a limb that fell. A bumper crop of tomatoes were almost ripe at the time of judging. The circle drive adds to the effect of the beauty of this yard.
Judges were Susan and Hannah Scarborough. Judging is set to continue in September.
