Rotary Club of Marshalltown Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million friends, leaders and problem-solvers who come together to make positive, lasting change in the community.

We are neighbors, community leaders and global citizens uniting for the common good and taking on some of the world's most pressing challenges. Marshalltown's Rotary is proud to be Club #185. Organized in July 1915 with over 150 members strong, the club meets at noon every Tuesday at Elmwood Country Club, with an evening meeting option held twice, monthly on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 5:30pm at Tannin.

Marshalltown celebrated grand openings of community amenities last weekend. It started with Franklin Field on Friday evening and ended with the opening of the Emerson Bridge early Saturday night.

Opening the Emerson Bridge event was Arts + Culture Alliance Executive Director Amber Danielson.

"I often talk about how moments like these can look like an overnight success," she said. "We gather, cut a ribbon, celebrate and suddenly there's a new space, but we know it didn't happen overnight. What you see here represents years of dreaming, planning, fundraising, problem-solving, partnerships and persistence. Above all, it happened because people believed in this community and are willing to invest in what it can become."

The Rotary Club loves supporting projects that our members are involved in. We recently provided a grant to the Diversity in Leadership group to purchase shoes for students new to the district. Great work!
