Weatherized homes see an average of 7% annual electricity savings, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
Weatherization looks at the home as a whole to find opportunities to use energy more efficiently.
And when a home works more efficiently, those improvements can continue making a difference long after the work is complete.

Missouri Valley Community Action Agency (MVCAA) is hosting outreach events throughout our service area to help you submit your Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) application in person!

LIHEAP helps eligible households with heating and cooling costs during times of financial hardship. Stop by one of our upcoming outreach events for assistance with your application.

Celebrating Our Resource Navigators 🧭

Sometimes the hardest part of getting help is knowing where to start.

That's where our Resource Navigators come in.

They help individuals and families find their way through the maze of community resources and services—listening to what people need, helping identify options, making connections, and helping remove some of the barriers that can make accessing support feel overwhelming.

They're there for the questions.

“Who can help me?”
“Where do I go?”
“What do I need?”
“What do I do next?”

And sometimes, they're simply the person who helps someone realize they don't have to figure it all out alone.

Resource navigation is about more than having a list of resources. It's about understanding people, knowing the community, building connections, and helping individuals find the support that fits their unique situation.

This National Case Management Week, we're celebrating the people who help turn “I need help” into “Here's where we can start.”

Thank you to our Resource Navigators for being listeners, connectors, problem-solvers, and advocates for the people in our communities.
